I worry about the idea that everyone thinks plugins are candy. Remember, if you don't NEED a plugin, DON'T add it. Plugins are bloat and security risks.
"Must Have" is a reach I am not happy to hear. NONE of these are MUST have. Plugins should be considered bad until you need them, and then they need to be very carefully researched and vetted.
Not all plugins have that issue, some plugins are a simple set of code that you could add manually but the plugin makes the process easier while other plugins are more complex.
