  • So in this video I finally get to the bottom of the leak in the Fiesta ST150 and where the water is getting in! I do however find another problem with the release mechanism on the rear seats so thats a job for another video!
This car is slowly getting sorted but there will be some big plans for a front end rebuild this year to make sure everything is looking good as there seems to be an oil leak somewhere.
So subscribe to the channel to say tuned for that and any other projects on the car!
    Thanks for watching!

For the rear seat pull if your lucky you can swap the left with the right nice and easy fix

I thought the same but the part is the same for each side it has plastic clips on the inside one left and one right for the left it uses the left side clip and right clip for the right there is a video called “Mk6 Ford Fiesta rear seat lock / latch fix” that shows how to fix it

Look at the rear vents behind the bumper inside the boot just back from where your hand was that’s where my water is coming from

Was hoping this was finally a leak where I was getting water.
Mine seems to collect around the boot latch and then into the boot itself.
    Anyone else have this issue?

I think it may be the tail light. I've got some foam and sealer and going to replace all three next week. @@brianbrian5259

I literally just fitted a new rear boot tail light today. The previous one was fucked even after I resealed it. Just got to wait for the rain now to see if its sorted. @@DJLloydy

I have the same issue when I open the boot there's a blob of water next to the latch, so I'm guessing it's coming from around there. Boot is very mouldy now as a result 😮

Hi DJ, done the same job you’ve done here a while ago, maybe you could also check the high level brake light. Noticed mine had moisture/shite in it, found out the glued on sponge seal came away from light body and never seated properly after changing bulbs probably and is now pissing in water. Somehow water must of been getting around the inside of the tailgate, occasionally I was getting drops of water coming out of the boot latch.

Hi Dave, I did change this last year so maybe worth me checking again as may not of put it back properly :( however water was leaking in from that area and no water anywhere near the brake light. Unless it was a double leak 😂 I will give it a check though as well to make sure.

@@DJLloydy on a different note, have you ever had any problems with your engine running really rich, high MPG, overpowering stink of petrol Etc. It Just sneaked through the emissions test.

Nothing I have ever noticed apart from when I had a crack in the exhaust and the lambda sensor needed replacing, lambda helped massively and the crack in the exhaust is now completely fixed and runs a bit better
