Hollow clear 30, I was in the building for this one mad af because the people around me were too dense to appreciate the sheer genius of hollow. There's levels, hollow sorely outclassed k shine. You can't beat what you can't predict. Unpredictability and high scores in every aspect of battle rap is what keeps hollow in talks with the greats. He'll never lose his crown. He has operated at a high level for too many years.
Because nowadays people want everything dumbed down, overly hyped. I heard everything hollow said it had a lot educated, slick delivery, metaphors.

This was my least favorite battle of the night. Whole thing was just not entertaining. What they said? It ain’t about what you say, it’s how you say it? Yeah some people like to be entertained when watching battle rap, in fact, I’d argue most people are here to be entertained first. Calvin Done Got Him A Crew💀💀😂😂
After watching Shine vs Eazy a week ago (where he decided to go back to rhyming like the new Shine who we've seen for the last couple years) & then rewatching this battle (where he was rhyming like the old Shine which he also did in the Pat & Chilla battles) you really understand the conflict that Shine has with his own style. From late '17 thru all of 2018 & '19 Shine was on a wild run, using the more animated delivery, the Twork like cadence & voice inflections, the pacing of the performance, even the writing was different. Then for whatever reason, he turned it off for a few battles & went back to the Shine we're seeing here. Rushed delivery, physically over-performing but with no flow or cadence personality to help it along, the writing lacks setups, everything is very simile heavy using the word "like" to connect almost every punch. Then for the last event of the year he climbed back into the "new Shine" bag & went to war with Eazy TBC. I do think he lost the battle but I still definitely prefer that version of Shine much more, even if people say it's an influenced style / approach. Interested to see what Shine decides to do in 2022, it could potentially be time to tweak his style again or maybe even develop a new one altogether.
