Thanks for the derivation! That's what I love about math! Teach me the general and let me deal with the cases! Unfortunately, we are taught to deal with the cases so whenever we see a slightly different case we are stuck. Keep going! I hope you can arrange your explanations in playlists!
Great video! Very intuitive explanation, much easier to understand than my own mental gymnastics (I was visualizing a non-perpendicular section of a cone, and trying to work out how the radius of the section would be deformed from the radius of a perpendicular section taken at the same height, based on how much the intersecting plane would be rotated/tilted... ugh, lol)
Dear sir, I am Victor and I am from india. Could you please explain why focus semimajor axis defination of eccentricity is analogous with focus diretrix method??? Why the ratio of distance from focus to any point on ellipse and distance from diretrix to that point on ellipse is eccentricity itself in the case of an ellipse ?? How it us correlated focus semimajor axis method ?????
@@dodecahedra thank you so much for the replying I’m still learning and as it was for a bit of something to do, it’s ended up being a lot more complex than I thought it was going to be
Massive thank you! It worked perfectly, those are the numbers I was looking for. I has been calculating F1 to P1 , not x and y 😃 I’ll say, your my hero as I’ve spent a number of days playing with the ellipse (which has been really cool) and got so far, but this was the last hurdle for my needs and I hadn’t been able to find the answer 😃
Okay....as soon as I saw your hair I accepted all you say is true.
i agree
accurate

Way too relatable haha

This was beautiful. Thank you :D
This is exactly the explination I was looking for very well done . Thatn you so much...
Where does the 20 come from in 10:28, why isnt it just 100-(4x)^2+y^2?
i want to know this toooo
Here (a-b)^2 formula is used that why it's 20
beautifully explained sir !
tqsm !

Such a good explanation
We like your jumping or dancing.
Is there any way of getting a measurement between point P and E? If the semi major is 5 and the semi minor is 3 as in your illustration?
@@Legotyres P is arbitrary with coordinates (x,y), so PE = √(x²+y²). But not sure how that helps.

Best derivation of ellipse 👍
An absolute explanation ❤
Thank u so much
It was very useful
Thanks,
Love from India
Beautifully done
Excellent explanation!
Thanks for that useful explanations❤❤
Continue with this teaching
Nice buddy
but you did'nt tell about latusrectum of ellipse, covertices etc.
but you explained well.Thankyou
really made my life simpler...thanks a lot sir
Very good 👍
If your students can't handle it...
Well, thank you! 😄
Keep up the good work! 👍🏼
Nice😀
Also make a video on hyperbola please

thanks you for this video
thanks.that was beautiful
nice vedio sir my professor tooo didnt explained like dis
Good ! Clear explanation.
You are good
Thank you so much for this video
Derivation based on feynmans lost lecture... Kinda funny but interesting lmao
