Agree with a lot, especially marco’s slight rewrite in character. I’m not sure how the monster of a week idea would serve for each individual episode but i do agree it’d drastically improve the finale. Personally, what i’d add to what you’re already altering is a goal I get each episode is sort of slice of life or deal with ludo again And each episode doesn’t have to be towards that goal But maybe marco and star know her time on earth is limited, and it’s a looking threat so they plan on how to extend it, An episode where she almost gets taken back to mewni for good An episode where marco is afraid to become too good friends with her as she’ll leave An episode where they plan to extend it by being more irresponsible but come to realize that’s causing more damage than good and need to accept it’ll happen Ok maybe not the best but compared to other seasons, feels like it lacked a character goal in the long run. Or maybe that’s a bad idea for the first, plus my idea could be a bit cliche Point is I loved your vid and hope for vids for the other 3 seasons as well if your doing them .....damn i wrote a lot
thanks for the comment :) I definitely agree that a lack of overarching goals for the characters really slows the show down, especially in the early seasons but I think for the first season at least, establishing the characters, relationships and settings, along with Toffee's little take over story is good enough as the back bone for the first season. I do like you episode Ideas, especially marco being afraid to become friends with star cause she'll have to leave eventually, maybe he's a little jaded to it because of all the other exchange students over the years. I think this season would really work with the focus on star and marco slowly becoming a team.
Pair of Ramblers :D, course and yeah, maybe adding too many plots and goals too quick might rush things and discourage newcomers to the show. Season 1 was an introduction season and as much as we may edit, maybe an introduction season is necessary. Thanks for the reply, i never really comment expecting one and end up rambling on but it feels nice having ideas bounced off of
In my version of the Star vs rewrite Star would be half human half magical because her father is human and her mother is some kind of goddess and Star is Short for Starlia and Marco would be replaced by an American guy who's more manly and handsome and super cool and Starlia would be a beautiful woman who's kindhearted and innocent because I'm tired of Disney turning bubbly female characters into spoiled selfish brats and Tom would a vampire prince of Darkness instead of an ugly three eyed demon and Mewni doesn't exist Because Newmans are evil and they kill innocent people and enslaved creatures
I think the definition of Svtfoe is: Good ideas, not well executed. In fact, I loved the Eclipsa's judgement episode, it sets up a lot of things that can be used in extraordinary ways... And we all know how it ended up.
I enjoyed Star Vs the Forces of Evil a lot more than I was expecting, but a lot of it did feel clunky, and then there's the ending which admittedly made me tear up for a while but felt pretty underwhelming.
Finally someone Said It! Svtfoe have a Lot of potencial and not Just this Cartoon but others too! I really love doing the same thing you did here but i Just dont make videos hahaha. Congrats Bro, I see a great work here.
3:29 is still keep the Jackie crush because that’s a big part of his character, him being shy/introverted gives a reason why he hasn’t actually done anything with the relationship in the first reason
Oof. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought them instantly bonding by episode 2 was absolutely dumb. Marco went from hating Star to all of a sudden Defending her and liking her out of goddamn nowhere. Where's the bonding? The development? The slow burn between them? Am I the only one who saw that? According to Daron, Character Development is for wussies. Her and Vivsiepop need to get into better writing classes I swear I can make a better show plot in a full day than Daron. Try me lol
I agree with some things but for the most part your rewrite is way too dramatic for a ahow on Disney mostly based around comedy, in wich earth is supossed to just be ... earth ... Marco is supossed to be just a human, magic being brought into the dimension by Star is what makes earth interesting, however, there could have been more character arcs in s1, that i agree with, specially Marco and Star becoming really best friends over a longer period of time so then their eventuak relationship upgrade we know they get has even more depth, more character arcs could've made the season not just 80% filler and your monster of the week style every episode plot seems interesting.
Thanks for the comment :) If the show was clearly made of one off comedy episodes like Phineas and Ferb or Amazing World of Gumball, I'd agree with you, but the way I see it the show is clearly trying to be dramatic and have a narrative. and that's part of the show that interests me to the point of making this video about it.

I can learn much from this for my writings
That paragraph joke was amazing omg

Nice job!
Marco is still the best character in the show

I like dramatic stuff. I'd personally have Star and Marco upgrade at the end of this first season instead of dragging it out until the end.
Thanks for the comment :)
