Thank you so much, my teacher just said "memorize this". This actually makes sense!
Exactly, instead of teaching us why, we're just told to memorize an example. Not helpful, frankly.
Literally.
I showed my student this video to learn naming! She's so happy
Thank you so much this has been so confusing to me, I have a final tomorrow and this just saved my life thank you so much!
Some people truly have a talent in teaching. Thank you so muchh.
Out of all the videos... this one actually made sense
What if you don't have the information of the right number of oxygen atoms that gives -ate. How are you supposed to then know if it's Per- (..) -ate, (...) -ate, (...) -ite or Hypo- (...) -ite?
Seems that naming theese requires already knowing which formula gives -ate, which you need to know?
In that case, why even bother, if you can't get to the answer without having some pre-requisite information?
thank you so much, idk why my program is english chemistry but my textbook write it as vietnamese but your lesson is legible
thank you so much😭
Very Good!! Thanks a lot!
I'm very confused, can you explain why NO is nitrogen monoxide if you said -Ide is reserved for ionic compounds, but that is a covalent compound???? please someone explain 😢
Oxygen is nonmetal so it would have ide? (I have no clue)
@@Condray91oo6yes and the mono stands for one oxygen
Thanks
Thank youuuuu soo much
beryllium chlorate has a formula
Be(ClO3-)2
If PO4^3- is phosphate and PO3^3- is phosphite then how exactly they differ since I should use "ate" if only it's less than 3 right?
Thankyou! That helped :)
Tysm 🙏🏻
Excellent
litteraly my chemistry teacher told me i just gotta know this
Thank you! Great info!!
In some of them, they have the number 2 in front of the name. Why is that?
Can you show me one?

Thaaank youu very very muuch ❤️❤️
Can you please tell the difference between 'ITE' and 'ATE'
Watch the video again, it's explained at least 4 times.
Basically , these two words are only for polyatomic ions. Take a look at the chart he shows for ex: NO3- is nitrATE. But if you take away ONE oxygen it will be NO2- so the name changes to NitrITE. In summery it represents if you took away an oxygen atom or not. I’m probably late but hope this helps!
@@dundermifflinity stfu it s not explained how to name it, just how to go from one to another
Tq❤️
Thank You, Was really helpful !
Ur welcome 🙂✌
I felt bad he didn't reply so I did 😇😈
Thank you
Thanx
cheers boss
Hello I can't actually subscribe to you because my parents wont let me subscribe to someone unnessarily. But I can say your video is good.
scary....
they allowed you to comment but not to subscribe....amazing
Your parents seem like weirdos
Why is it so cute??!! Lol😅😂
@@shashwatkanojia5958 Yeah bro
Where to start to learn naming of elements?
THANK YOUUU
Ur welcome 🙂✌😂😂😂
I felt bad he didn't reply so I did 😇😈
What if it is O4
PERFECT
not me watching this before my final start in 5m
should i memorize some ~~ate ending ions to know if it is ~~ite or hypo~~ ite?
It would be very helpful 👍
@@StudyForceOnline thank u sm
i have further questions.... thats it
Hypochlorite?
this was very cash money
-OH is a polyatomic ion , though we use -ide ...why?
why not sodium hydroxITE?
Thanks
Thanks
