Kaushiki along with several senior artists recently participated in a private concert in Goa. One of these artists commented to the effect that she (Kaushiki) is acting too big for her shoes. I know this for a fact because this artist shared the thought with very close friends of mine who also attended the concert.

Since I can't see well enough to be sure, am I hearing correctly that, besides the tabla, there are a sarangi, a harmonium, *and* a santoor as accompaniment? And the man just to the viewer's right of Kaushiki-ji, is that a guitar he's playing? I don't remember ever seeing that many different melody instruments on one stage to accompany the main soloist(s) ...
Kaushiki really needs to tone it down. It is becoming embarassing to watch her on stage. She is an insupportable show-off. Building a rapport with the audience and having a stage presence is not the same as sporting a rictus grin on one's face all the time. Her father is so dignified and personable on stage. And he has stage presence alright. This chit of a thing is nothing compared to Ustad Rashid Khan. It was a mistake in the first place to team this upstart with a talent like the Ustad who "doth bestride the world of art like a Colossus". Plus the woman needs to go easy on her make-up. Frankly it looks cheap.

Learn to hear. You are not here to see the video, just hear the audio. A bit unclear but not that u can’t enjoy.
