Hey, the game's translator here! Thank you for the let's play, glad you liked what we have to offer so far. I've noticed a bunch of typos throughout the let's play, but I blame Grammarly for that. There's just one little thing you've missed - a glossary. Since the game is set in 90s Russia, there're a lot of references to that time period and also a bunch of Russian-specific lingo, we thought it'd be a good idea to give some explanation to what it all means. There are underlined words in the text, and if you click on them, it redirects you to the glossary. By the way, really like your voice. Hope you'll do let's plays for new episodes when they come out. Cheers!
9:20 The Babai is a Slavic folkloric figure used by parents as an educational threat. Children who get up at night are kidnapped by this mysterious creature, parents tell them, hoping they will stay in bed. 31:00 The answer to the crossword is Beelzebub (one of the seven princes of Hell), called "Lord of the Flies" for being capable of flying. _Its the middle of the night, good writing, atmosphere with Manly Reading. Hard not to get sucked into the horror_ It had my full attention as soon as I hit play. This was really great. I liked the art and the atmosphere. The music and sound effects really brought it together. The animation was surprising. Yeah the smiles seem uncanny. But at least Olyas an adorable imouto. Anton is totally not gonna be a wizard after this. He really gives me a harry potter vibe lol. I really love the setting, cause there was so much things the kids enjoyed and talked about like I have when I was a child. Anyway the pacing is really good for this opening episode. It was certainly a strong one. I do think if seeing humanoid shadows in a distance seemingly look like they are dancing but then they all just stand still immediately as if they all are just staring at you. It really is creepy. Like the snow really makes everything seem bright and something moving would be so much more noticeable and such. Like it all does seem familiar to me too. It just seems creepy cause it's like this whimsical mysterious thing that you weren't supposed to see and you were caught watching it and now everything you saw wants to kill you. Everything was neatly described. Like the sounds of what was going on along with the games sound effects like something calling out the missing childs name. Humanoid monsters disguising themselves as animals also rings a bell. Anyway I really liked this. Cant wait to check out the game for myself as well as the future episodes
The game's combination of visual and background music are really good specially for Olya. It makes it feel like your interactions with her are the only escape you have from horrors of the forest or the depressing state caused by the parents.

Manly's voice fits perfectly with this game and it's just such a treat during this time especially :D
This is a really well made game with beautiful arts and everything. Wow, the writing is amazing even without the visuals and Olya is really cute and lovable character that actually feels like your little sister, really ADORABLE

Anton: I'm scared shitless by all the wolves dancing in the moonlight, but hey, it's a horror story, so I still need to act like an idiot and go off on an investigation on my own. Yup, sounds about right.
Thinking from the perspective that I'm now at the age I could be this kids parent. I actually felt really bad for him (On daily routine with every little problem around too resolve It could be easy for an adult to forget on how perceptive kids are even if they don't show it to be) and I say it get really dark in a story when the little kid already have deep toughts like this.
how nice to watch the passage of this game. I remember how in childhood the faces of animals could be seen on the frozen windows, how our parents scared us that a black hand would take us if we didn't sleep, how we went to the stalls and bought turbo, and how we snuggled up to the wall carpet...

I hope Manly returns to this VN when all the episodes are out. I've played up to Episode 3 and I think the story is really intriguing, if a bit slow, and the horror parts effectively chilling. Some of the bullying scenes are pretty intense and uncomfortable to watch, but otherwise I've enjoyed the VN thus far.

Anton: I'm scared shitless by all the wolves dancing in the moonlight, but hey, it's a horror story, so I still need to act like an idiot and go off on an investigation on my own.
Yup, sounds about right.
then again, he's like, 12. kids that age don't make sense.
This game is so atmospheric! I'm honestly amazed at how well they portrayed the environment from the viewpoint of an observant child.
Btw if anyone interested, this game is actually based on story "bunny" written by Dmitry Mordas
Is it available to read in english somewhere?
I love this so much, your voice fits so well with this story, it makes it far more engaging, i swear that if you voiced over a book it would be really enjoyable to listen to, let more chapters come oooooout for this.
The art is beautiful and the set up is very interesting so far, and scared me a couple of times 😂😂 I can't wait to see more of this!
I like the vibe of the 90s so much, it smells like a nostalgia and at the same time anxiety (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Artwork's amazing!
Apparently Ep 2 of this is out! Super-enjoyed this read-through, and wish Manly'd do more of it.
The game is free btw. And that's surprising, 'cause I would be definetely willing to pay for this. Especially when other parts come out
I think this is as a preview, a very good and long one. the other parts will probably cost money but worth it!
@@mellow5376 since I'm familiar with russian VNs, developers probably wanted to make a preview to get feedback to see if the later parts are worth charging money for. If this part failed, they would've still finished it (but made shorter) for free probably.
Anyway, I'm glad to see Russian friends making another good VN. I'm also waiting for Love, Money Roc'n'Roll from another Rissian developer.
And btw, you can try Everlasting summer. It is on steam for free, is well known and well received among many people. Not exactly horror, but still has a lot of mysteries to solve and think about
@@AlexCrMaReLiLukyanenko i will definitely check it out, they should get more notice so ill tell friend too, itd be amazing to see small devs grow
@@mellow5376 Everlasting Summer is from another developer though. Sorry, I forgot to mention it
This reminds me of Fran Bow. With the art from Stitched
I thought so too!
very excited for part 2! the art is rlly pretty and sets a good mood for this horror game and the characters seem like they can add a lot to the story. :D
The weird noise manly made at the goat jumpscare bothered me more than the image itself lol
Man, this one’s so good. Looking forward to more.
Really cool playthrough Im excited for the next episode
Oh nice. Spooky visual novels are great. Cheers
This game is so tasteful and pretty, holy shit. The writing is soooo good.
The music, the art style, the story, everything was great. Now I wonder how many episodes they plan to do and if there will be actual dead ends (gotta love the different death in this type of games).
this game is genuinely promising and i'm watching out for the next chapter. cheers!
59:20 when anton is turning down his little sister was by far the most relateable moment. little siblings are the most persistent creatures i know
Oh, man. This game is fully releasing this year and I really like games like these. Im so pumped!
man poor anton is an anxious wreck
That jumpscare at 21:14... Holy.
Fairly new here.. thank you algorithms and thank you for keeping me company. I enjoyed your reading of this story. I really hope you revisit it and play the other chapters
Olya' Tony you coming?
Tony: yeah yeah just a moment
*Werewolf creeps out of the dark halls and makes a terrifying glare, He jumps at tony and growls*
Hero: hey! AAH!
Me: 😱 *Frozen from the jumpscare*
I swear I could feel my soul leaving my body everytime the jump scare appears. The first jump scare were very freaking scary and so does the rest. This team understand the word "jump scare" a lil too much 😭
Relaxing voice paired with terrifying game-play makes for a confusing attempt to fall asleep. Really nice video today! c:
This game is gorgeous and genuinely creepy, I'm really looking forward to the next episodes.
10 minutes and 19 seconds of the video I got sleepy like I am listening to a lecture in my class and then realizes it's one hour long. Oh shoot
I’m personally not too fond of the writing style as it seems superfluous and busy. I find that I’m losing interest because of that - 13:49 min into the video.
15:48 - uh oh... UH OH!
21:15 hey - RAAH!!!
These are your standard responses from this guy and his "Let's plays" that are just.... priceless XD
I'm sad Manly hasn't played the recent chapters.
That first jumpscare really got me.
Man, i feel like Manly was reading a book for us.
His voice is great for this games.
the dancing animals killed vova and were probably celebrating the kill
Russa is good at. writing horror particularly with atmospheric horror I notice.
nothing to greet you to the neighbourhood like "this kids missing ya seen him"
@ManlyBadassHero there is 3rd episode of Tiny Bunny already came up, by the way
And there is a glossary on this i button, so you can see the definition of underlined words, as the non-russian you probably won't understand what is this or who is it
I'm liking this one very much. The narrative, the choice of using black & white, the feeling of discord in the eyes of a child, and the eerieness of it all. And damn, that first jumpscare got me good, lol.
It's great that you played this game.
Спасибо. 🥰
О, русские
I'm looking forward for the next episode!
Horror and Peaceful?
These two things don't go together manly... Hmm
When bugs bunny lost his job he became tiny bunny .
What’s up doc?
This game is sooo good! I hope they'll continue the story and I cant wait for Episode 2!!
I also decided to get the game myself but I'll also look forward to your plautrough of this game when the next episode is out!
Edit: Also I just heard, I think the second episode is out! As I just said I just got the game XD you should play this again Manly
Your Edgar Allen Poe esk reading of this made it complete my dude.
The Author of that game hit that typical melodramatic Russian poesy feel right on the spot.
The music compliments it perfectly too.
Like others I also hope this comes back ❤ it's just not the same without your voiceover
Really enjoying this game., the art, and the way the story is playing out. Can't wait for more. Keep up the good work, Devs. And keep up the fun, Manly. God bless yours and you, all! :)
When you mentioned skinwaker it reminded me of a frend how believes that I am one for some reson.
26:19 made me laugh.
I’m watching this from the bed at 4am. I had to check the lock on my bedroom door.
First thing to genuinely scare me in a long time, I'm dying to see more !
ya...that owl wasn't in the opening menu at the start
Thanks for the epilepsy warning Manly!
When he first goes outside you can see the owl in the tree on the left, and when olya falls asleep during Peter pan, and it flashes, you see the beast on the right blended in with the trees
29:01
I wasn't expecting the Duck Hunt reference. I did the same thing when I was a kid, but luckily I never broke the TV that way.
Hi Manly! I enjoyed your everyone playthrough by now, so I wanted to notify you, that next 2 chapters of novel were already released. I hope you'll find a time to continue this series soon 😉
Holy fuck, that bit in the middle of the night with the doorknob and the sudden jumpscare spooked me good. I got GOT! XD
However, I love the story thus far. I'll be waiting in anticipation for the continuation.
Wow, this is such a good looking visual novel
I know it’s been years but please come back to this!! It’s so good!
This is a really good game! I can’t wait for the second part!
14:47 ah, your friendly neighborhood furries.
OMG The house, trees, snow, roads, etc looks like a lot Bob Ross painting style. Now I can't unsee his paintings everywhere 😊
Small note - the protagonist's name is not AN-ton but rather an-TONE.
Also I think you pronounce the L in Olya as I. Sorry if too nitpicky but it really bugs me for some reason.
This really makes me think of Chaos;Head and I love it! What’s real? What’s not?
Oh yeah... Only in "horror dreams"... Those are the only dreams where bites hurt... 😉
When is Manly gonna continue this? I'm so invested & I wanna know what happens next but it's been a year 😩 He better come back to this game, bro.
