I just heard about this game because of the video on your main channel as well as a different channel who started covering it at the same time. I'm an ollllddd school PvP guy, grew up on stuff like Ultima Online, so I decided to give this a shot. Got a Zealot to 5 yesterday and just jumped right into RvR. Now my Zealot is 7 with a Renown rank of 10. I additionally got a DoK and a Black Orc up to 5 so I can jump into RvR with them whenever too. I'm now completely hooked on this games PvP. It's super easy to join in on huge fights even at Tier 1 with a low level character and still feel pretty useful. Especially on my zealot. Just started pre HoTing everyone I saw and spamming ST heal on everyone who was dying. There were lil fights we won because I was there wiggling my lil dagger around, patching everyone up. I love that PvP IS the progression, not just something you do in Endgame after hundreds of hours of grinding XP and armor sets. PvP is how you do both those things and it'd almost be catastrophic to jump into PvP at max level, without any Renown gear. PvE is just something you do when you're tired of PvP in this game, it's the side content. You can jump in at lvl 1 if you want, but I'd recommend pushing to 5 just to unlock some abilities and learn the basics of how your class plays. Don't wait too long or you'll find yourself in a situation where you can't compete with other high levels because you can't buy Renown gear, which is the best gear in the game. Seriously, start around level 5. You want your Renown level to be higher than your career level. It's even worth it to buy an item that cuts your XP gain if you start getting too far ahead and grind out a few more Renown levels. You want to be like RL 45 when you hit CL 40 in order to keep up and compete.
Was a high elf healer back in the day and absolutely loved the game. Was considered the best pvp healer on the server and have so many incredible memories of massive RVR battles. Tykhon Swiftmender was my name!
New player experience is indeed crazy. Queueing for scenarios takes forever and you can't solo PvE content past Rank 10 to get past the Tier 1 steamrolling that happens because you decided to choose the faction that is momentarily extremely under-represented in RvR.

thats why its dead, nobody can be bothered to put up with how terribly managed the private server is.
Brother do not compare the old world with the abomination that is age of sigmar, this is before that, there are no sigmarines here xD
