I love your video and explanations of what you’ve done and where you get things to make your system. I’m going to try to make a similar system!! I thought I’d mention that the clear tabs at the top of your “folders” can be turned around and the paper part turned back so it can be seen, and when you do that, the tabs lean backwards and you can see them without pushing each card backwards. Thanks again so much!!
I find the file folders at the thrift store ALL the time. I recently bought a box of 25 for about $5. Just another excuse to stop in at a thrift store. 😊
Thank you for this video! I watched your first one about this and decided it would be good for my floss storage. I ordered everything and started working on prepping yesterday! I am hoping to have it all completed by Monday!
I too made this system, unfortunately didn't find the library rings until I bought the second bag🤪. I think it's a great way of holding all the threads.😁🎉
Great update! I've been slowly planning out a new storage system for mine and so far it's very similar to your first iteration so it's interesting to hear the downsides. What are you doing to kit up projects? Do the skeins just go loose in a project bag or do you keep them on other rings?
For bigger projects I have cardstock squares with a hole to hang from and a bigger one to hang cut floss from. For the smaller ones, I've just been taking the skein and put it in my project bag. Then I pull off what I need as I go. Part of the reason I did this at first was because I didn't want to cut and hang them all since it took forever. 😄 But I'm liking it more now, since I can cut the length I need for a certain project.. depending on if I need a single thread or long enough for the loop method.
I got the 1 inch binder rings. I guess the company I have linked doesn't carry that size anymore. I just looked around for a good price and reviews when I bought more.
Hello Brenda 👋, I'm new to cross stitch + generally have mini kits, but they don't have DMC threads. Do think this would work for my different kits? You have a new subbie, thanks so much for your videos. 💖From the UK xx
Thank you! 😊 If they're not on a skein you could hang them from the rings like you would on a floss drop. You could label the folders according to different brands if you wanted, depending on how many you have. You may not want to number them on the folder though, if there's a lot of rotation of what you would have. Maybe could just have a number on some cardstock and punch a hole to hang it with the thread.
Love this!!! I’m going to implement this for my own system. Thanks for sharing 😍😍😍
Hope you end up loving it. :)

Thank you. :) Thanks for the tip as well, as that would make it even easier. I'll have to go fix them up!

Awesome and great idea too! Always great to save some money however we can.
Appreciate the update!

Awesome! Hope it ends up working well for you. 🙂
I made this system a while back for my floss, it is great, and so glad I found it.

Great job
Is the ring size the 1.2 or 1.5? Thank you in advance for your response
