There are a lot of Educational games that dont punish you for doing bad
Problems fixed: answers are different (rather than just 0+0), exits don't go up when you get all 7 notebooks, you can actually win and when you get 7 notebooks all baldi says is "congratulations you found/failed all 7 notebooks"
Plus you can now look up and down!

The game is a lot more relaxing and calm when you don’t have a teacher trying to beat you with a ruler. Just my opinion.
They should make this an actual educational game without negative awnsers and it would be called baldi's basics the real education game

It is perfect the way it is, like when the 3 years old fail an answer, Baldi will come catch and scare him, and to avoid that the kid will force himself to be good at math

When I was modding it, the game kept trying to add that wall to every exit, had a bit of a hard time figuring out a fix but I did eventually :P

It turns out if baldi does not get angry then the other characters will not spawn because that is how the game normally functions

i think that they made it so you couldn't look up and down to make the game similar to videogames in the late 90s and early 2000s, and its backed by the low color images and pixelated graphics. Or, he was in a huge rush to complete the game in a playable state on time.

This proves that the other entities spawn and baldi's face disappears from the mathpad when the player answers wrong. Most importantly, baldi will only try to kill you if you get one question wrong. So Baldi is asian dad face mem.

A mod where the 3rd question has answers but they're bigger numbers and involves division/multiplication and you're tied to a 15 Second limit
This mod should have the other characters in a different way and alternate lines when you get a question wrong. 'Oops! That's not right!' 'That's alright, try again!'

I think it'd be neat if the unmodded game made the last questions possible to answer, but they're still screwed up and you have to do something weird to figure out the real question, like making the numbers the game wants verrry slightly differently colored, so that you have to like, take a screenshot and run it through an image editor to see what the question actually is.
That'd be neat.

I feel like the look up and down function should be an option/separate mod but not being in the main game
If Baldi's Basics were to come out in this form back in either I996, '97, or '98, I do believe that this would've become a Cult Classic even then, the Survival Horror variant that we ended up getting in 'I8 would simply have been one of the greatest mods in history if this actually were the case and fans of the title from back then would praise the slight genre shift that it delivered, given its cultural impact.
Speaking of which, I do believe that there would be more levels and questions to answer in a Baldi's Basics '96, progressively getting harder with each floor that you go to and with more notebooks to find; for graphical improvements, I could imagine all the characters in a hypothetical Remaster to have perfected renders based on their initial I996~style Pre~Rendered designs and with a Sonic Adventure '98/International (Dreamcast) Lantern Engine~style effect that would improve the overall quality of the rooms and models to meet the demands of the time; these additions and many others would deliver much more replay value to Baldi's Basics than we currently have and definitely make the title feel more whole, as what we have currently feels more as if it is a Demo for something bigger to come, wishfully we could get a fully flushed out BB~styled Edutainment title that is more than just this level and the Easter Eggs, this has the potential and following to become something more than it has already presented itself as, based on what I've seen over the past week and change. (:
I mean..... they could have just made a mod like Baldi for Sonics schoolhouse or make Baldis basics a fangame for Sonics schoolhouse instead since fangames are allowed, but they wanted to make unique characters and make it parody all the games instead of just one.
Altough lets be honest, Sonics Schoolhouse is the main inspiration.

What happens if you get one wrong anyway?
Can you tweak the mod to have the rest of the npcs?
It should be better, if notebook questions will become harder. And Baldi rewarded as with many prizes for succed questions. And - not 7, it will be 20-17 notebooks. And on 9-10 botebook it will be super hard, and on 13-14 - impossible. Sorry for bad English.
