Mine is a Prius V. I got it intentionally to live in. You're right, can't sit up in bed, I'm 5'2" 105 lbs. Aaand ya, changing clothes is very difficult in the small space. BUT, excellent gas mileage and temp control trump those inconveniences. Oh ya and yes you are van-lifing even in a Prius. You're a real deal for sure.
on the right side of your steering wheel on the bottom side there’s a little peg and that’s the cruise control on my prius c. i had no idea either my boyfriend just heard you saying that from across the room and said it does have cruise control so i wanted to let you know haha
I had a 2012 Prius C four. It had a sunroof and cruise control. I miss that little car. It was solid and turned like a go kart. I recently upgraded to a Prius v. It was a trade off in mpg but I got space and comfort. It fits a full size air mattress in the trunk space with the rear seats folded. As for the van life people, don’t worry what the others think. If you are happy, that’s what matters. The van people are in a vehicle too and shouldn’t be snobby or exclusive about it. You’re doing Prius living anyway, no van involved or needed. Wishing you happy adventures in your Prius.
sometimes i wish i has known the difference between the Prius C and the Prius V when i bought it😅 but at least the toddler mattress still fits :) Thank you for your comment!
Omg I agree with you, i think its human instinct too, kind if like how animals feel vulnerable on their backs with their belly exposed. When we are exposed (in this case with people taller than the vehicle) we feel too vulnerable. Even if we are still safe 😂 i clearly can’t explain well. But i hope that makes sense. Love love loveee these videos 🙌🙌
I found lack of cruise control to be less of a problem in my van than my car. Smaller vehicles like your Prius are built to be very efficient about keeping out road and engine noise - without CC it's easy for me to speed accidentally and get a ticket. In my van, though, it's easier to hear the road and engine noise and I learned to control my speed just by that sound. On the highway I also got in the habit of just following a vehicle that was maintaining an appropriate speed. Did a 16-hr drive not long ago that I thought was gonna be hell without CC, but it really wasn't that bad. Def would prefer CC, but don't make that feature a deal breaker if you start shopping for vans! 👍
I'm going full time camping in my Prius this yr. What I've done so far is I'll usually push my driver seat all the way up to the front. I then have plenty of leg room in the rear Driver side passenger seat. And my bed setup is on the rear passenger side seat, Above my Mini dramatic fridge. I was really surprised to hear that you don't feel that you have enough room. Because I'm 6ft tall and so far in My weekend test runs have gone pretty. But I guess we'll see what changes when I hit the road full time status in to in 2 weeks. Stay safe #artisbluu

you are so sweet!🤍 and so happy to meet someone who's doing the same thing :)
It's 1000% more badass "Van Lifing" in a car. BadASS!
thanks!!
Thanks for your thoughts .... appreciate your insight and feelings on having a car as a camper.
you're very welcome!

no wayyy!? i'm in my car now, i still don't see it😩
ahhh i looked it up!
mine doesn't have that unfortunately:(
The higher trim levels have cruise control, the base model doesn't. Sigh.
@@andrewhicks8340 thanks for clarifying!

totally agree with this! the lack of cruise control wouldn't be a deal breaker for me
You can sit in the back by leaving one seat up. Only put down one side for bed. That's what I do. Happy traveling.🚗
@@galstorm in mine i can't put only one side down😅
You must have a Prius C model 1 cause I have a 2 and it has cruise control
i'm guessing that must be it!

The Prius C is smaller on the inside than a regular Prius
@@Stranger_In_The_Alps oh ok!
I’ve thought about getting a new bronco sport the back looks spacious and doing over night trips at state parks in the future.
you should! I highly recommend it :)
@@TristaBrianne I let you know when I do!
