Why are people trying to debate whether this or the original is better? The point of a cover isn't to outdo the original, both versions are incredible in their own respects.
Sweet's right. The vocals sound so forced and unnatural. Like he's trying to send off emotions with his voice but instead the song gets sent into the ground. Not saying ADTR is shit. I have no opinion on them as I don't really listen to them, but I must say this cover is extremely average. Um... ADTR is from Northern Florida, so they do have a Northern Florida accent, just not as strong as say Jason Lancaster. Saying someone doesn't have an accent is a silly thing to say, especially someone who is American, considering English originated in... England. Also the original band that did this song has a thick Swedish accent. It makes things interesting. No need to make fun of someone because of the way they talk/sing.

Put Millencolin's live performance of No Cigar up against this, though, and it's a different story. Nikola can't sing the song in the original key, and they play it a lot slower, which really brings down the quality of the song.

Those are acoustic guitars guys, not electric. Instead of just playing the tabs meant for electric guitar maybe try just strumming the full chords. You know, the chords of the song. it'll sound less shitty, I guarantee it. There's doing a song acoustically, as in adapting it to acoustic guitar, and then there's playing electric guitar parts on acoustic guitars. Sometimes it doesn't exactly sound very good, so you play the chords instead of the riff that sounds completely dinky. Especially if you're palm muting.. Draws even more attention to the atrocity of the vocals which I guess either way, you'll still have to do something about.
