we listen to this at few years ago but without meaning, maybe. But today, we comeback like adults, listen and feels different, maybe better than before. Thats curious... PS: Sorry for the bad english. im brazillian.
I had a friend his name was Alex Keck, he loved and admired ADTR, he wished to meet this band, I miss him, he died of cancer, R.I.P Alex....I hope you listened this song with me
"20 bucks says you'll remember me, when you see me on your t.v. screen." That hits hard, I grew up very poor and am now a head chef at an upscale restaurant that has been featured on phantom gourmet and the food channel. Maybe people will remember me now. Much love ❤.
For those who want to play this song on their acoustic: you don't have to tune your guitar to drop B. Drop D will suffice. The chords used in the song are D, E, F#, A, B and C# The verses are D and F# The chorus is D, E, F# and A The bridge is B, C#, D, F# and E You don't even need to tune it to drop D either, but for the best results then yes, tune in drop D
Halfway through this you see Jeremy change from joking around to taking this song completely serious and It shows how much these lyrics really mean to him. Right at the start of the best verse he puts his phone down and closes his eyes its perfect
Comprei uma bateria eletrônica e para aprender estou pegando algumas musicas que nao tem bateria para tocar "em cima", esta é uma das minha preferidas!
This video was my anthem that made me work harder every day towards my dreams. Started this channel not long before this video was posted, and I came back to say finally made it. Not as big as some, but I'm proud of how far I've come.
The original song was GREAT when I first heard it, but I REALLY like that Jeremy's voice is a little more mature here. I had my doubts with this one being acoustic, but Kevin and Neil really nailed it. I wish they released more acoustic stuff...I'm a huge fan!
Can't get enough of this band. Every new song is like discovering a new continent for me. Makes me see life in a new light. They are highly underrated, which is perfectly fine by me. Such class act these guys.
I love this band, I have never loved a band with a burning passion the way I love adtr. This song is my favorite song, I will never understand why because I love every song they have ever made, the lyrics, Jeremy's vocals, Neil's guitar, Alex's drums, joshs base, Kevin's guitar and and back up vocals. This band is such a massive part of my entire life. 20 bucks says you'll Remember me, cause I'll scream so everyone in this place will hear every word I say are my 2 favorite lines That make this song, Jeremy is the greatest song writer of my generation.
It's Monday morning and I would kill for a chance to drive Yeah so far away from here with you my dear That I'll never leave your side Nobody knows the troubles I've seen In a van, on a show bus for the world to see Miles away And I wish this didn't mean so much to me To be a monument For the rest of them Miles away And I wish this didn't mean so much to me To be a monument For the rest of them We're getting older and I've started to fear for my life Is this the way that it should be? thats just the impracticality of metal singers who care for their voice, but its not out of reach for him to be hitting those notes without having to put 110% in to get there, no? singers in all other genres do this, musicians(singers included) never stop bettering themselves. Either way tho who gives a fuck, if somebody thinks imperfections arent a part of music theyre backward to begin with.. metal itself is first and foremost live music. If this was electro, id expect it to sound like the record.
+Vic LTD I'm gonna explain it in a much nicer way. On stage he sings multiple songs, at a multitude of different ranges high lows and inhales and exhales '"screams". Although in the studio he just sings a singular song, then the studio clean up any issues.... plus if they don't like the result they go over it again and again until they get it correct. On stage you can't do, do overs so it's better to just play it safe other than go for a high note and end up like a pubescent boy and having a laughing stock no more than 30 metres from you (makes the band look bad) and this people is how we explain without aggression, because to be honest ADTR don't sound the same live it's true.

I wouldn't doubt they played on a soap box. Probably 20 years ago I went to watch my buddies band play in a little club in Kansas city. Adtr played then brought their van over to a party some dude had in his basement. They started with 2nd sucks and that entro blew everyone's minds. Such great hard working guys. They definitely have my respect.
Everytime I watch this I die laughing from the fact that Jeremy has to use his phone to remember the lyrics and still messes up at the end 😂 he’s wrote so much even he can’t remember 😊
This is the third song I've listened to from this band....unreal! The lead singer has a voice that that crawls up and down the scale and just f*cking rocks. This is my new favorite band.
... let nothing stand in our 'place'. And ill scream. So loud that everyone in this place.. Correction.. ..Let nothing stand in our 'way' Always good when you can forget the lyrics and not notice they are wrong until you sing 'place' second time too close to the first time lol.. Wicked cover.. Love this band.. love their acoustic stuff.
Cam Schumacher yea i relized afterwards but the reissue also came out a year before. So they had probably played it since. But again they have so many songs he cant remeber all of em
That laugh at 3:15 is pure gold. When my band does acoustic sets, I don't fare as well with laughter. I let it out and I have to try to get back on track, haha!
I've seen adtr live and Jeremy sounded great he did lower a couple notes but every band I've seen have even massive ones like linkin park or shinedown still change the notes a little bit
Alex was a great Friend. he played ADTR so much and he always had a smile on his face. even when he found out he had cancer and how long he had to live, he always put his friends first. nothing could put this kid down. no matter how the mood was in a room, once Alex walked in everyone's face lit up, the mood brightened. if most people could have met him they would have never found a dull moment his the young mans life or a heart as big as his.
This song hits different after you decide to pursue your passion in life

this is hands down my favorite band, their music is so meaning full!!
I love when he laughs through his words towards the end. Always has been my favorite part of this version

like "do they even know the lyrics well enough to know i messed up" haha
It doesnt matter if he forgot the lyrics. He has so many awesome songs. Theres only so much awesome a person can hold in there mindhole
they also don't play this song regularly in their setlist
It's also incredibly easy to forget lyrics when your entire focus is on breath, tone, timbre, enunciation, etc. Source: I'm a guy that sings.

building on what you said Longrod that's why he remembers the melody and tempo rather than the lyrics.

I love how Jeremy is looking at the lyrics all the time :D
His voice gives me chills he's so flawless acoustic
You are our man! You are so right!

Lol its fine guys that he forgot lyrics that was probably the first time in years he played that song.
Not the first just played at self help

Still hearing to this in 2019
9 years later, still jamming. Never gets old
He actually admitted in a acoustic version of if it really means a lot to you, that he forgets his lyrics haha... who cares he's still great
I know it's been a while since any band has done an unplugged album, but I think A Day to Remember is the band to bring it back.
my new favorite band
Wow!! This is awesome, hectic guitar playing. Amazing!!
Did Jeremy just say "Fuck it" under his breath at 0:40?
hahahaahah yeah he did XD
quite possibly
lol i never noticed that until now
The thumbnail to this video is just fantastic.
acústico é ainda melhor

Yes, i noticed that. He kind of ruined the video for me.

Damn he sounds good on anything .. hes naturally good af keep up the good work ..
Who else is wondering what the heck he is looking at on the phone?!?!? xD The world may never know.
The lyrics. He couldn’t remember them at first.
