I fell in to it as a stepping stone after a break up with the ex and my head going and wrapping up my previous security company....have never looked back.. love it...hours too suit for when the kids have school plays etc....plenty of work all year round .....good money if you get out and work for it...keeping up with the paper work can be a ball ache sometimes and work doesn't seem to stop once home when dealing with quotes etc but wouldn't change it

Well done GPC,great video,on trying too help people, who maybe dithering ,on whether to become a self employed window cleaner or not,or just self employment in general, admire your honest no bull video's on window cleaning ,and how hard work can really pay off,if you have a common sense business structure in place, and ofcourse the right attitude to be professional in the line of work you undertake.truly well done indeed.

Wow what a fantastic video. Never heard a more straight to the point guy. I'm in the process of starting out but as a 2nd income (first being a HGV refuse driver) so thinking how to work my customers around my fulltime job. Bit spoilt having a well paid full time job? Maybe, but who knows where certain industries are going. Willing to put the work in canvassing and maintaining customers I WILL acquire! Thanks for great videos and great advice

Loved this video Darren. Nice to hear a bit about your background & how it all began. I worked in Jersey back in the day, on & off between 98-2001, perhaps i walked passed you when you were busy on the windows. I worked in The Prince Of Wales Pub in Greve De Lecq for a while, then the Lavendar Villa hotel in Grouville, which is now a nursing home i believe. Returned home, started out window cleaning & haven't looked back......

Could honestly listen to your advice all day mate. I am buying all of the equipment this month to start up myself. Keeping my full time job until I can get a big enough round to quit then hopefully I won't look back. How did you find your work was during the winter months? Did customers drop off significantly or was it steady? I think your idea of the Go Cardless method is great too. Thanks for the advice 👍

I follow your videos, I’m a window cleaner in Kent after watching your video, you mentioned that you got work in the solar panel industry. This is something that I have been trying to get into, with not a lot of success, as I find it difficult trying to find the contacts in that industry. Could you please mention a way that you found your work, that could benefit me as I am also trying to expand my business.
Keep up the good work with the videos, found them very helpful 👍
