I just did one of these. What a horrid vile design of a connector. You can't see or get at the pins to check it all went OK. No go though. Got 5V incoming but no light and refuses to take a charge. Won't turn on. I did have to fish the bit of connector out of the charger plug too.

The USB-C port for this laptop has an interesting design featuring one single row of SMD pins and another row that are through hole.
