@@Knoxla-f4i yes it still works. I didn’t have flocks talisman so used weaker faithfuls canvas talisman and still worked. It’s pretty easy once your set up but he can one shot you when he first flies away/disappears after dealing heavy damage so run when he goes then get back on him. Melted him after many trips. Felt good and bad. lol.
If youre struggling, equip only golden vow and ancient dragon lightning strike at site of grace. Summon mimic. He will cast these 2 incantations only. Get in his grill. Spam adls and dodge lightning attacks. Heal as needed if caught. Mimic will be casting adls with you should be done with this fight in under 30 secs.

If only I knew this sooner, I went down a different path, blue dancer charm , Godfrey Icon, Erdtrees favour and lightning scorpion charm. Before I fight it I used the mimic . Your strategy is incredible.👍
Yep, it works. My mimic and i did it quite easily with this method. I even skipped the cracked crystal tears buff and the endure ash of war. But the talismans and seal were a must. Thanks for the proper way to approach this beast.
Thankyou, I did not have the Flocks canvas or Bloodboil Aromatic, but I still did it, on the 4th try, after I stopped trying to go behind the Dragon and stood in front of it.
Thank you for this video, I modified some of the spells ie did golden vow, golden lighting protection, flame protect me. I also forgot to use blood boil, which didn't matter..I also had mimic with shabriris woe vs ritual sword talisman. Between us took no time at all to kill Pacidusax, didn't even need to heal..amazing especially after trying unsuccessfully many times and different ways to kill the dragon.
There's an even easier cheese: 1) Summon the spirit of Latenna, 2) Wake up the dragon using several poison arrows from a distance, 3) sprint circular laps in a clockwise direction around the dragon, 4) Be careful when dodging red lightning, 5) After running three laps, Latenna should have killed the dragon from a distance.
Works! Tyrannicon is the hero we need but don't deserve. This guy has helped me with a few tough bosses in this game. Thank you for your build guides and cheesiness sir!
Best way to go about this if you’re slightly lower level, use a mimic tear or equivalent that will get the attention of the dragon, once the dragon first attacks/lays its eyes on your mimic then go behind and you can start casting the lighting spell, but make sure your heals are equipped because some attacks still get through. ALSO, before you’re attacks sometimes it’s easier to dodge the dragon attacks and then straight away cast so you don’t get interrupted

Good catch! Bloodboil makes you take more damage for no significant benefit here, since it doesn't affect lightning damage, only physical. FGMS = same issue. Howl is the way to go.
It took me 3 times because I panic and hit wrong buttons like endure 3 times instead of using the lightning. But when i actually used my attack properly it worked. Killed him in like 2 casts. Almost got him even when i messed up but i kept having to heal and couldnt attack Thanks

I rolled, i panicked, but in the end it still took me under a god damn minute to do this cheese strat. KEEP IN MIND I DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE BLOODBOIL AROMATIC AND THE GRAVE STONE SEAL
Instead of that last talisman i used lord of blood exhultation n seppuku n commanders spear instead of golden vow which gives 20% atk instead of 15, since i dont need to be at full hp u can also poison urself wearing the mushroom hat to further increase atk. All that said its possible to one shot (ADLS) in one rotation
This is still viable without the gravel seal. I was able to do it with the starting finger seal (+24) on a melee build. I just had to re-spec to meet the minimum requirements for the lightning spell (26 Faith). It didn't go as smoothly in the video, and I took damage, but I did it in one try. Also summoned Mimic
I came here because I needed to share something with everyone. I somehow got the site of grace for Placidusax without even entering farum azula meaning I can teleport into the arena while he’s alive and it glitches me in unless I leave the game. Has this happened to anyone else?
Worked great on current 1.09. Just took me about 3-4 tries as I was messing up the order. For the last one I summoned my mimic and killed it even quicker.

Took 2 tries because I didn't get in close enough the first time. Used my mimic tear and put shabriri's woe on them. My talismans and physick differed slightly from yours, I used Shabriri's Woe rather than the bloodboil aromatic since the bloodboil doesn't affect lightning damage, and I threw in a Greyoll's Roar in my buffs as well. I think that actually helped quite a bit. I thought we were supposed to be able to use Torrent to fight Placidusax in the latest update, but I couldn't seem to summon him. Is it a setting or something? I couldn't find anything. Oh, well. Not that I was going to use him, I was just curious to see that, and maybe run around the arena after killing him. ETA: Never mind, I was wrong -- it's the Elden Beast fight, not Placidusax for riding Torrent. I just had Placidusax on the brain because I knew I was about to fight him. :)
Endure is pointless when trying to do charged lightning attacks..but otherwise it's great, on ng+7 and have almost got him,just have to finish him..ng+7 is crazy with this boss
It's not as it stops you from getting staggered while charging the lightning attack if you get hit by Placidusax's own lightning attack (and it lasts just about long enough charge the Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike fully so you don't have to worry about getting interrupted when using it.)
You can also use mimic tear with Shabriri's woe, this will direct all the aggro towards him and you will get ample time to hit that beast. Rest of the things are in the video already. Hope it helps 😊
BIG TIP: if you run very fast like me, drink as you arrive and WAIT FOR 2 SECONDS BEVORE USING ASH OF WAR! Then charge the Attack. Because I was too fast and the ash of war lasted not that long.

Just here to say in 2024 I did even use the entire method just the lightning dragon strike and lightning charm that increases lightning damage and Black knife ashes And since I'm a hybrid build and had magical power anyway I clapped this guy on my third attempt using a part of this method
Just tried this and smoked him easily. Has anyone tried this build on the Elden Beast with a different Dragon Cult incantation that travels farther such as one of the lighting spears or the glaive? Just curious.

What was your faith stat?
Bloodboil aromatic doesnt do anything for this build other than increase stamina as it only increases physical damage. Use howl of shrabriri instead.
What does the how of shabiri to do the dragon? I thought the howl only induced madness.

I pulled this off with seal at +24 and had 50 faith. My fp was low so needed 3 charges.. i was going to respec but tried it 4 and got it.
Took me a couple goes to get the order down under pressure but I did it after the 3rd time with ease you’re a god 🙏🏼

If you level up de gravel seal to the maximum and use a runic arc, it will take only three times. The trick is to load up the incantantion

yeah. this doesnt work nearly as well as its made out to anymore. Even with Radahn set and high poise Endure simply isn't enough to avoid the stagger

black blade incantation is the best way to melt Placidusax health. you dont even need any buffs

The flask that I'm using turns damage into hp and the endure ash of war stops you from being staggered when hit.
