Ford adjustable pedals drive cable disconnect

2003 lincoln town car drive cable disconnect to free up the gas pedal to move and then remove brake pedal gear cover cap to manually spin the gear to move the brake pedal and put the cap and two screws back on. the brake and gas pedal are moved by 1 little electric motor by the gas pedal and the drive cable carries force over simultaneously to the brake pedal gear to move both pedals together.. the issue is usually a jammed cracked gear at the brake pedal..
