What are your takes on the Italeri 2025 release? Is it what you expected from them, and what would you like to see them doing? As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments below...
As far as the tardy releases go, I still think they're doing better than HobbyBoss and Trumpeter. Still waiting for the 1/144 Y-20. However the war thunder partnered kits do seem very interesting, especially as I've been looking to get a Tornado kit for my gulf war collection and as I play war thunder, so I'm excited for that
Alex, great review and commentary as usual 👍 I’ve yet to built an Italeri kit so have no experience of their quality/lack of. Seem to be pushing some old kits here, wonder what the sales of these will be like. Since doing AFV, don’t know when I’ll get round to trying one.
I'm certainly excited for the 1/32 Macchi 200. One of my favourite Italian fighters. Also cancels out my regret at selling my Pacific Coast Models Mc 200 a few years ago. Might have to have that 1/24 Lancia too.
Great review - thanks. Do you think that Italeri are happy enough not releasing a big new range? Maybe they feel that they already selling plenty of their existing stuff so don't need to invest heavily into more products. It would be interesting to know how they are doing economically and what their market share is - maybe they are doing just fine?
Excellent review Alex! The only kit that I'd really be interested in would be the 1/48 Folgore tbh. Airfix get a lot of criticism but it has to be said that their late releases of late haven't been delayed by too much and it seems that Airfix at least inform people of the delay. You covered all of what I would have said as regards the late releases from 2024 so I won't go any further. Best wishes 👍
Sorry if I’ve missed any prior mentions, but are there any other catalog ranges are you going to be taking us through on your channel? I enjoy hearing about them through your videos
Great release review Alex! I have to admit the 1 I'm most looking forward to is the 1/72 KC-135R Stratotanker as I'll finally be able to afford a Mildenhall Tanker!
Wow, that Ju188 takes my fancy! I didn't even realise Italeri had previously tooled a Ju188 until now. I've been looking for one for ages and only found the revell 1/48 or matchbox one - I bought way too many revell kits last year and got even more for christmas so this will certainly make a nice change - the Italeri is definately one for the stash this year. - However I have just seen on scalemates it's the same tool from 1973 with new box, instructions and decals, sounds suspiciously like a revell trait 😂
I've got an older boxing of the Italeri Ju 188 dating from the early 80s. It's a very nice kit for it's vintage. I've built several of the Italeri bombers and enjoyed them all. I still rate their He 111, Ju 188, Dornier 217 and Ju 52 quite highly. They were well ahead of the competition back in the day and still worth a look now.
@fightersweep oh yeah I think so too, I've built 3 vintage Italeri's so far, 84' 1/48 Me163B Komet which was very good and the massive Messerschmitt Me321 Gigant in 1/72 with the Heinkel He111Z Zwilling glider tug, probably some of my favourite kits. To be honest Italeri's vintage kits do seem to always go together very well and have limited flash. 👍
Italeri along with Protar and Esci make the poorest fitting kits on mainstream..just like their 70s onwards bikes and cars.....Watch Nigels Stratos reviews. The only good builds I have come across were the Esci WW2 1/9 motorcycles.

@@MannsModelMoments Good to see a 1:48 C.202 but otherwise nothing overly exciting.

A big thank you to Italeri for saving me money this year. If this preview list from them was to be converted to a colour, it would be beige.
Re: the F-35A decision, I'm guessing it's putting the home market first because Italy uses the A (along with the B)

Loving that Lancia
Like to see Italeri re-release of their 1/48 YF-12 as I don't see any indication that Revell will offer a companion of their 1/48 SR-71 🤔
I think the Merlin is my only wish, not much else excited me.
I never get excited by them... though the 1/56 range is coming together, but when you have Rubicon, why would you look at Italeri?
I used to many years ago....now not so much....
Some interesting kits there and 'Gina' and M.A.S. on top of the list.
Lancia and Iveco for me.

Hey Alex, this is the second time I've heard you mention an "ebay tax" - what do you mean by that?
Purely that kits on ebay have an inflated price, so you're paying an additional "ebay tax" on top of the actual value of the kit
@@MannsModelMoments Yes, you are right, I noticed that too! Thank you for the explanation!
@MikeUSA67 no problem!
I think I'll stick to Airfix and Tamiya
Id rather s bowl of pasta
