I think the one thing that bonds all elliott smith fans together is how we all love him like a family member or a best friend even if we never knew him no other artist has ever impacted me on such a personal level ever and I think alot of us feel that way

The ending was improvised after we had been shooting for a few days. We needed to show what Elliott pawned his guitar for and I always liked the way these colorful sodas looked. The kids are my niece and nephews. It did end up fitting the sentiment of the song.

How could anybody downvote this? I listened to this song every day for almost a year after my lover died of cancer in 2004. It held such emotion for my personal experience I was going through at the time. "So you got in some kind of trouble, nobody knows" ??? ok. "I'm a junkyard of false starts" ... sums up my life... while the moon does it's division.
My personal suggestion is that someone could downvote this if he/she didn't like the video. But I'm not expert in the current downvote meta on RUclips.
