I was playing along with guitar videos until I got here. I am now hugging my guitar, listening raptly and telling my own guitar 'it's ok, you don't HAVE to sound like this.' Magic.
I sure hope these people who rate guitar players in these magazines didn't forget Tuck. I'm a guitar player myself and he's easily in the top ten of all-time.
Quite possibly knows every chord and inversion of chords possible on a guitar. I agree with the others, as a player you just shake your head and deal with the thought that you're never going to be this good if you lived another hundred years and used it to practice.
I suspect it's true that Tuck could play any voicing you could name, but that's no great trick. You can do that too, it's not that hard. What Tuck does that's hard is that he has a direct channel from his mind's ear to his fingers - anything that he conceives of, he knows how to find it. What he does that's even harder is, he conceives of ideas at a truly alarming rate, and almost all of them are good ones. If you can pull that off, then you've got something - regardless of how many finger shapes you have names for.
Heck i almost don't recognize him without Patty. Where is she? Also when I saw it on the side of my screen I thought that was someone dressed like Amadeus.. OH Rock me Amadeus...

Magic.
Just far beyond the capability of even master guitar players. Tuck is off the charts with technique - and a brilliance thats just without compare.
Agree. But he only got there by a lot of hard work and study and sheer determination.
This gets me every time. The best guitarist alive
What a beautiful rendition of a timeless classic! Wish I saw this live! Viva Tuck!
He came from another planet...
Tucks playing makes me smile.....
AMAZING as always!!!

Living legend...wow
FABULOUS!
just magic....
holy CRAP this is amazing.
@scaasi lol, I think even mister Tuck Andress would have told you to discover and shine your own voice, greetings, and may the force be with us all.
He's not my favorite guitarist, probably not even in ny personal top ten, but I feel he's the best guitarist I have ever heard.
fair and honest reply.who are your favs btw?
I've seen T&P perform at least a dozen times and I don't think I've ever seen a better guitatist (nor duo, for that matter.)
Bravo!
I absolutely agree...
Tuck is to jazz what Buddy Guy is to Blues. "The song's not over until I play all the notes! All of them!" Good stuff though.
Genio maledetto!
George Washington on jazz guitar @ Yoshi's
Wolfgang Motzart Amadeus just sent me a Text TUCK. He said stop playing with his Wigs.
🎸💥
Your the best
3:15-3:36, Tuck is ripping it.

Personally I like him better without Patty, he seems to play better
do you think so?
while everyone is hearing andy mckee and tommy emmanuel there are things like this.
Tuck looks like hes straight out of 1755
Or rather the guitar is holding you and telling you is "Its ok you dont have to these good"
