Sean I have three eucalyptus trees that are about 3 stories on the side of my house. I want to aim the projector light up into those trees from my second floor sundeck. Can those projectors angle upward high and light up those trees?
Sean would those projector lights interfere with the sheriff helicopters at night if they’re looking for some A-hole. I plan on aiming it upward from my sundeck into my eucalyptus trees

My mom bought one that looks like the first one you talked about. It works really nice, the only bad thing about this kind of lights, it's the fact that if you're inside, the lights will get through the window and it's kinda annoying for me. But this is a great option if you have blackout curtains.

Thank you for comparing those 3 for me. Very helpful. BRIGHTNESS IS EVERYTHING in my opinion! You should mention that most, if not all, of these do not even come close to dimmest LED Christmas lights, even when put up close. They look great when walking by or from across the street, but beyond that are of minimal value.
To SUPPLEMENT my Christmas lights, I bought my first 3 at a thrift shop for $5 each. They were Star Shower NON-motion green & red projectors. Still working great, but takes all 3 to light up the side of my house with enough overlap. The next 2 projector lights I bought from Costco in the year after (2017) were green and red motion lights , not sure what brand. Much better, slightly brighter. Then in 2019 I bought 2 more, which were Startastics, off Amazon and were very similar to the one's from Costco, same brightness and motion.
Now I am looking for much more brighter one's so I really can stop putting up lights.

Great article! Sean really does a fair comparison of the projectors and their features. I've actually tried a few of these myself. 1byone I've owned a couple, and a few Star Showers. I'd like to add one more that I've been most impressed with... Spectrum Laser Lights. The company makes a solid product and a good selection of pattern lasers also.. if you get bored with the same old laser dots. 15 different models to chose from. The Star Shower and 1byone is OK, but not having a remote control, like the Spectrum Laser Light projectors have is inconvenient. You have to press the physical button the projector, instead of using an RF remote from 80 feet away inside the home like you can with Spectrum Laser Remotes. A real disadvantage in my opinion, and they aren't as bright and vivid. The 1byone I owned two and the red laser died on both of them! Overall I'd say as a consumer, to check out Spectrum Laser Lights. The old saying you get what you pay for is true and applies here with low end value projectors.

Any recommendations for a solar powered option?
Can anyone tell me the projection area? ..taking in consideration that the further one puts it, resolution/crispness is lost.
I am curious the projection area (say, left to right) while in keeping the effect bright and crisp?
I just bought a festive night deluxe edition and it came with a base and stake but no remote both red and green light but the red stopped working thought there would be something to show me how to get them both to work at the same time but there is nothing in the instruction

Are these the floating lights? Or are they stationary? I'm looking for the ones that look like little green fireflies that float around in a random pattern.

I purchased a similar brand from eBay for $15. It doesn’t have a remote but it does motion and works better than all of these! I think it’s tacky however just to use a projector. Projector lights look best when complimented with some lights on the bushes, trees outside.

I have 7 laser lights with two spares. One of them is an expensive ($200+) one that has both motion and blue laser. All the rest are the cheap Star Showers non motion. I find that I quickly tire of the motion and do not use it. Funny thing is that the holidays is the WORST time to run my lasers and I leave just one running during the winter shining onto the bare branches of my black cherry tree. I set up 7 lights when the leaves come out on the massive oaks that surround my back yard. It turns them into a three dimensional green galaxy of stars that is amazing. The red and blue fade out over distance so it looks mostly green. Lights on the house or shed look so flat in comparison. The other use for one of the lights is to shine it on the tree in the house. That is also a great use for them as it reflects off all the glass icicles and shiny ornaments.

OK so how long do these last? So far I have purchased 4 units and after one season they stop producing the motion feature and just blink. I would name the company, but not unless requested! I have paid $139 each and am not happy. The company rarely replies (they did once) to my complaints. I have also noticed they are always out of stock, so they must be defective. Thanks!

Thanks for the review. Lotus looks like it would do just what I want. Green and red are great for Christmas but I’d like to have just clear also. You didn’t mention other options in the video but does the Lotus have a clear light option?
IP68 would be weather "proof" (capable of being submerged), IP65 is capable of high pressure water from any angle and does allow some ingress, so limited operation (time)...

I bought the metal 8 motion one from Amazon for 124.00 and it sucks! After three days of four hours each use, the green light went out and it just sucks!

john reyes What do u mean u cant use it in philippines, of course u can, do u realize the lantern/parol and christmas lights are just hanging outside their houses but nobody steals it....christmas lanterns or parol in philippines are more attractive if compare it to imported ones in my opinion
It's hard to correlate the products in the video (you give very little definition of the brand) with your notes below. e.g., you just say "lotus."
*I still feel LCL - Laser Christmas Lights are the brightest. I haven't been impressed with any of the other brands*

According to numerous 1-star reviews on Amazon of the Lotus, the red laser becomes defective and stops working within 1 week. This is outrageously unfortunate beyond belief.

Ok, goofy, now my question is, what you didn't cover is where you should position the light outside if you have a trailer 60 foot long like I do or what it may be in order to cover/ hit just the object only and not the dam yard to. Ha How far away should you get it in order to cover one side of it and so forth, etcetera goofy? Love your videos, that are the ones that I have watched at least O and you lmao! And thank you!
