I can’t imagine what goes through an aggro tenos mind when they attack a stego. It’s like a guy with an ak47 shooting at a tank
at least they were no cowards. they did 2call and attack the little ones (before we arrived), so, yeah, cheap gameplay. but, then they also attacked us bigger ones and even ignored the babus, so, I have mixed feelings about them

@@da.mombie No Mombie. This was even worse as the time you thought i was sus then fell of the hill not ones but twice when i said raptors incoming trying to come back towards me.

@@Rat610 well, I am an average stego player and yet no teno stand a chance by now. so, I guess, if those you killed weren't hard to kill, then they were pretty new players
those deinos helping you was so wholesome. reminds me of when a big carno spared my baby pachy, moments like this are rare in this game (for me at least) but i guess that's what makes them so special
so true. if everyone would kill you or everyone would spare you, then I wouldn't have that many hours in this game. I love the fact that you never know what happens and such moments are the best example imo

Thankfully you got an unlikely savior in form of a helpful deino player.
Had a similar situation as a sub-adult carno on spiro at a waterfall (NW).
First a small one discovered me, and then he swam away, only to return with a bigger one to scoop me out!
Some people are wonderful in The Isle.
they are getting formed by the terrain tool of the unreal engine, I guess. I played planet coaster some years ago. you could form the terrain in that game, too. if you made a kind of river, then you very often got such "edges". you had to smoothen them up later on. I often didn't see them. when I zoomed in and enjoyed my park later on, then I found many of these edges. you barely see them when you are in the tool mode. I guess, it is pretty much the same here. if you work a couple of month or weeks on such a map, then you get kind of blind to those edges after a while. so, I understand that they are there. thousands of players spot them pretty quickly tho. so, I am not mad that those death traps exists, but, I hope they will fix them soon after people tell them where they are.

@@da.mombie yeah, most players sadly aren’t as kind. Even, I as mostly a carnivore would have done it if I could, or just end your suffering. Waiting to die out of hunger is such a sad way to go when you’re trapped😣

@@da.mombie that's true, but most of deinos players plays agresive, and they are bad. But this one was nice, congrats to this deino player then!
The jackassery of those tenos is one of the reasons I only play on community semi-realism servers, lol.
well, aggros, backstabber and cheater are annoying. but, after all I met very less of them. I died more often to a cliff than to those three combined therefore, I even kind of welcome them. they are some sort of diversion and as I don't meet them often, they are a welcome annoyance
When you began falling in the early minutes; I died.....then you did and I couldn't find words
I continued watching.... now I wish I was in that water at the top of the southwest river so I could have tried to eat you when you swam... Never swam.

Oh nooo, you got stuck (6:15) in the same spot my friend did Another stego fell in behind them trying to push them out and that didn't work. So I came in from the nearby beach trying to swim towards them hoping I can push them out .... well theres a hole right next to the beach too (you can see the big deino slip off the rim of it at 8:15), so I got stuck as well. A kind sub carno came along and 3 nearly adult stegos perished in the swamp that day ... I send a recording and coordinates to the devs. Hopefully they fix it. You're so lucky the kind deino grabbed you out!! But otherwise sanctuaries seem pretty useless to baby stego, often you grow too big for them by the time you run there and even if you do get there in time it takes SO many mushrooms to get diet
the map is full of death traps. I am pretty sure there are 20-30, if not way more around the map I really hope they'll polish the map a little within the upcoming weeks. these traps are quite annoying :/ yeah, the sanctuaries are quiet useless for stego. like you said, too far and the mushrooms give so less nutrients, that I thought they are bugged what an awesoem deino player it was. I would have been happy to die. I had food and water for probably one more hour in this trap. to even survive was the ice on the cake

Every time I played as teno it was always another teno that killed me lol, which is difficult because I play with a gamepad so I only have half the moves (can't kick or claw, only tail slam and bite)
I came to avoid playing them because I like to form friendships not have to fight off my dino's own kind
uhm, why can't you kick with a gamepad? this should be possible. I have no idea about the isle settings when it comes to a gamepad, but, even if they don't support it properly, then you can still config your gamepad. like L1 = alt+RMB and so on. depending on your gamepad (like logitech) there should be a software available which let you set actions or even combos to every button. it's some time to get into it, but, totally worth it. I'm quite sure there are also many tutorials on youtube about that topic or even your specific gamepad
There is currently only semi-compatibility, the devs say they'll get to it a lot later down the line. Even configuring does not work very well because all the buttons have a command already and won't unbind themselves @@da.mombie
@@sugarandscenes1931 as far as I have experienced with many games in the past, specially those who didn't support gamepads, config always works. you can even config that the gamepad doesn't get recognized as a gamepad and only sends key commands.

i have never played stego because the growing is so boring, but watching your video makes me want to grow it and play it!
honestly, I think very different. adult stego is quite boring, but I love to raise them. at about 20% growth you can fight an omni without being totally OP. at 35% a solo cera or carno and at 45% you can fight whole packs. at about 65% it gets boring, 'cause the only threat left is an adult deino who can grab you until 75-80% (until 4tons of weight). I know that a good pack of troodons or omnis can be a threat as adult, too. but, in reality you barely meet such groups :/
I don't think growing is boring, but nobody messes with you once you're an adult, and that can be boring. While growing you are more on edge because of the length of time to grow one and you don't want to give up hours and die as opposed to a troodon where you can grow one in 30 min so life doesn't matter as much.

I'm playing stego now. I try to be normal with everyone, I don't tease the carnivores, I don't push the strings too much with the deinos either... The tenos are also normal, this doesn't happen very often. There was nothing wrong with me. Your server chooses it, but in the better places I think people try to play in a way that doesn't spoil the other person's mood. If you have to eat, then okay, you have to accept that the carnivore will catch you. But if its stomach is full, why would it attack the herbivore? The meat might rot before you could eat enough of it.
sounds nice. stego is too strong to have equal fights vs most opponents. so, I also prefer to play it defensiv only. if someone wants to mess with me stego, then of course I am in. but, as long as nobody attacks, me stego keeps calm. the biggest challenge as stego is to protect anyway. it's so tough to protect and don't hit the little ones you are looking for

I give them credit for attacking the bigger ones and ignoring our babus. they could have easily killed the babus first. other than that, yeah, a pretty weird gameplay ^^
