- The Mridangam classroom must be a charged space, but sometimes with the fast moving world, it gets more cerebral than experiential. This series is an effort to dial back the teaching methodology in Mridangam playing to one that organically transfers nuances in playing without verbally communicating.
In gratitude to my gurus Guruvayur Sri Dorai, Uuzhavoor Sri PK Babu and Nellai Sri A Balaji for passing on so generously this wonderful art form to me and enabling me to share it with a few friends in turn.
This video explores the phrase 'Salvalaghu and mel kala Salvalaghu' and I'm joined in this session by my student Aryan Ramesh.
