When you no more lied the first sweeper to tap them out so they wouldnt have the mana to day of judgement. And then played the second counter. If you were to hard counter the first and then they use the 4 mana to day of judgement, you no more lie that one. Getting 2 cards for 2 counters vs 1 card for 2 counter. 21:23
If you like this, then you could try dimir with 'Mockingbird' and 'Hulking Metamorph' in it to copy your 'Deepcavern Bat'. Also fun to copy your opponents Slasher with 'Mockingbird' (the copy gains flying) or your own, if you'd use it in your build. I don't have the card, so I use Preacher instead and also Tidebinder. I don't have Curiosity on Arena, so I use Gix instead. But you can copy the Curiosity. I also use Sheoldred in my build. An annoying deck to get up against for sure, but yes, also feels really great to get all those threats out of your opponents hands. Apropos 'Mockingbird', I also use it with 'Silent Hallcreeper' in a simic toxic deck to copy 'Venerated Rotpriest'. Using the sorcery on 'Elusive Otter' to trigger a bunch of poison counters. Also use 'Inkeeper's Talent'. 'Bloated Contaminator' has a good overall synergy having toxic and poliferating +1/+1 counters. I think Mockingbird might be my number one favorite card, because it can become any creature, even your opponents.
I dipped out of a game against a strong counter deck yesterday. At 6 turns in, every single thing I played got countered. I hadn't taken any damage, but I could tell it was going to be a long, painful slog with a predictable ending. So I quit and started another match that was actually fun instead.
I had this experience against an opponent playing Dimir with nothing but counters, removal, and Restless Reef as their win condition, as far as I can remember. The opponent's Arena handle should've been "Paint Drying," because that's how much fun it was playing against them.
Idk man counter spells are at the least an upfront and honest answer. Kill/destroy/exile spells, while basically the same thing as a counter, feel more disheartening. Think you finally land that finisher or what ever just for it to get blown up by a 2 mana black or white spell. Horrible because there is always 12 more. It’s like playing against cave bat. They are more likely to play 3 more, after turn two, than they are to not lol. Personally I think discard is the worse. Hell you don’t even get to cast the card before it, and any hope, is stripped away from you.
Crafted thus and the only 3 games ive played against were one double duress and 2 cavern of souls decks. If they are gonna rig match making I wish I wouldn't be so obvious. It's effed.
I think this deck is annoying but it’s better then those swamp decks that just ping and it’s not different then destroy or sacrifice creature. I prefer counter spells ten times over.
Well you’re 1 in a million because with counter spells you don’t get any triggers completely stopping you from playing the game of magic. With removal you still get triggers and get to play the game. I’ll take playing the game over not.
Good deck....till you run up against caverns of souls litterally 5 games in a row....and then a couple of aggro decks with rabbits....then your ranking plummets.
have you noticed how to match making always pairs you up with similar decks. try it out, if you play an aggro deck you usually get paired against aggro, same with control. once i noticed this, i dont like playing as much. its pretty annoying.
Man, it felt SO GOOD seeing that infinite life combo get shut down lol.
Same. I didn't know that could be done. That was genius.

I’m glad you quit the gayme.
To play against counters, wait for tap out, it will happen when they need to draw or lay threat,
That's just the way the game is built
Counterspell spam ruins the game. It is not fun. There are no cool combos, or plays....its just play counter play counter....boring....
@@lt7388 thats not how it works everytime at all
Thanks for putting out great content.
Did u not play against any red/x aggro deck? AKA the most popular deck played in ranked atm.
Floodpits Drowner is the absolute truth
This seems like a fun list!
I hate these decks. You just made me love them!
playing decks like this is equivalent of committing a sin
Tempo flash is pure evil

Brother Mob Boss, why are you doing this? 🤣
Right? MARDU Mob. It is right there in the title.
At about 11:11 you could have waited for wrangler to resolve and then play get lost after.
Beautiful deck!
I have always hated that these decks work, BUT you do need to be able go navigate the match efficiently to win.

What? Since when its possible to counter impending?
Impending is still just a cast just like any other spell
ThirdUrethra had lethal if they hadn't have blocked with the hawk
Land destruction bro...
cavern of souls is a thing but great brew
Where decomposed at lol
Have you made a deck using Fynn the fang bearer yet?
why use 2 counters to get 1 fumigate? u said cuz he might have D judment, but then u have ur other counter... so whats the deal there?

The algorithm "don't forget to buy these cards too"
Counterspells have a bad rap. Before it hits the table, or removed after, it makes zero difference
Yea don’t feel terrible at all I still play a Djinn deck you created a long time ago
I have no idea why counterspells get so much hate. This has been my favorite video so far
