- A NOTE TO THOSE WHO THINK ME UPLOADING 4 SONGS FROM THIS DVD IS GOING TO RUIN SALES: 4 songs that have been compressed into poor quality that can only be viewed online verses buying the whole show on dvd in brilliant quality...hmmm that's a tough one! lol I know which I'd pick :D These clips I've uploaded are to promote the dvd as her label is so pants at doing that :) (Sorry the audio's a bit out of sync with the video, it happened when I converted it to AVI grrrrr). Taken from the new TINA LIVE 2009! DVD out now - buy it!! An almost 70 year old Tina Turner stuns a massive crowd in Arnhem, Holland during her 2008 / 2009 50th Anniversay world tour.

Think it over... I've seen Tina live on this particular tour and her voice was even more powerful than before and she definitely sang in higher registers than she used to. In short, her vocal was exactly the same in concert like it is on the dvd.
Not every 70 year old lady has the power as she has... simply the best ;)

Tina dosn't need track recording boosting or track editing, to hear her voice. If u look at other fans videos. Like -

You will see that it is live. & live perfomances don't get voice editing. It's recorded there & then as it happens.

Tina Turner is, in my humble opinion, the most talented female performer ever.
Not the most technical singer but she's always on key, can sing through a cold, can dance and sing and not be out of breath (suck it pop stars.) She's always taken risks in terms of her costumes/hair/make up and she's not been given the tribute she deserves.
She is so well respected by her peers but the music "industry" ignores her because she doesn't sell records like the teenyboppers. Thumbs up if you agree.
Tina Turner puts every female performer in today's music to shame. This woman is simply amazing. She is an icon in the music business and is still going. Awesome, voice, Awsome figure and an awesome stage performance. Tina you rock. Been a fan since the early days.
Maybe you like more or less Tina Turner, her voice, her performance, her ways of acting...but there's one thing that is absolutely true: she's the most hard working living legend in show business today. Tina was, and still is, rock'n roll.

Bruce Baldwin . I saw Anna Mae Bullock in concert in the 1980's in Houston,TX. Truly one of the best LIVE performers ever. Anna Mae has got "it" in spades and works it!!!
When editing a vocal track for any type of recording, the range in frequences used is actually very narrow. They do with music and movies too. Usually the lower frequences are taken and so are the higher frequences which is why in professional recordings of anything vocal are clear and are just like you're hearing it in the same room. And you have to take into account that this isn't blasting at 100+decibles. Playing anything that loud will actually sound lower in pitch than it actually is
The BEST audio recording I have ever heard, the acoustics are very realistic. This recording has all the sound field to give it presence. It is what is needed to make you feel and sound like you are right there in the audience. The people that did this recording do a better job than the record companies at recording live music ! Keep up the great work tipsytinkerbell.
Okay here's a lesson for most of you people. This was recorded over two days, which means this was also shot in two days on March 21 AND 22. So the audio, vocal, video, everything is mixed between these two performanes. It's all live but the sound especially is a mix of two performaces given on two seperate days to make one performance. It's the power of sound mixing.
...her concert attendances break records however, which to me, says a lot more than selling more records....it's easy to download music or pop a CD in your trolley...but to travel miles at great expense to see an artist live....it speaks a whole lot more :-)
OMG!!!!!!!! she can do more shows until she turns 75. she was 69 when she did this and will be 70 next week. she won't change a lot in the next 5 years. I hope she will do more concerts. I saw this show live in Toronto and just blown me away.
The main thing I see and hear on this video is an almost 70 year young woman, that gives a performance unbelieveble that good. I was there.., at the Gelredome, and seeing this video brings back all that I have seen there live ! MUST HAVE DVD !!!
I've seen her in person several times...you can have your Cher, Britney, Madonna and the rest of them. Tina grabs you from the opening song and never lets you go until 2 hours later! Great performer...a living legend!
I have loved this woman since her first saw her perform Proud Mary on TV back in the 60's. This is my favorite Tina track..........since 1989, and I can still dance my azz off to it!
Good thing about her, even at her young ripe age of 70, now 72, she sells out concerts, and the people who go to her shows are truly avid lovers of great talent..

tak, to prawda, Tina jest rewelacyjna. widac, ze jest juz starsza kobieta, lecz nie nalezy zapominac, ze ma 70 lat. tancerki sa o 40 lat mlodsze. jest fantastyczna jako Tina i jako kobieta w tym wieku ;) widzialem jej koncert w tej trasie w Berlinie i... kazdy powinien to zobaczyc heh niezaleznie czy jest fanem, czy tez nie ;)

playback? what do u mean? I saw her 8 times on this tour & it was definately live lol this dvd is dubbed in places & it's something that's done to all commercial dvds which I find rather annoying as her live vocal was far superior to this. Check out thed videos I recorded of her with me camera at the shows if u wanna hear the real thing :) x

Kenny died of a heart attack during her Wildest Dreams tour in '96 - '97. He was found dead in his hotel room. Very sad. I've no idea why James wasn't on this tour, it was strange him not being there, a real first!
I know hun it really annoys many fans. They dubbed her last DVD also with a squeeky, pig-like vocal lol it was strange as her live vocal was waay deeper & rougher. I'd like to ask her Management why they do that.

@psymondo Hiya, that dancer you speak of is Claire Louise Turnton I think. She has performed with many artists but belongs to Tina since 2000 haha

Tina jest rewelacyjna. Mimo iz widac juz u niej lata, sztywnosc w porownaniu z mlodymi dziewczetami, jednak niech ktos odwazy sie powiedziec cos zlego na temat tej kobiety i tego koncertu. Chce zwrocic uwage na lata tej kobiety. zanim napiszesz cokolwiek zastanow sie czy tych lat dozyjesz i cco bys soba reprezentowal w tym wieku.

@psymondo it was Claire Louise Turton but now she's married and is now known as Claire Turton Derrico, the blonde one is Ferly Prado, (the one the was with Ferly on the platform before comming down the step's is) Djeneba Aduayom and the one with Claire is Solange Guenier
her 2 back-up singer's is Stacy Campbell and the one next to Stacy with the really frizzy hair (who sang "i know its only rock n roll but i like it" solo) is Lisa Fisher
Sound exhaustion isn't a good thing, lol, which is why they fix the vocals the way they do. There's actually nothing done to her voice that hasn't ever been done before. All this effort is avoid sound exhaution. For those don't know that that is, that's when the sound of something becomes annoying essentially.
Man, Tina is even sexier than her beautiful dancers :-) Just about 40 years older. Go for it Tina!

@theart1rm Hi there, Tina has said that she needs those heels to be able to dance like that - I can't even stand, let alone walk or even consider dancing in them - I get dizzy at the thought :-) I love Tina.
GET THIS DVD EVERYBODY!!!! It IS AMAZING!!!! Its here in London is in the cd section, its in a cd format and comes with 10 songs on a cd also.. For the dvd alone its wort it!!!!
