Hero played amazing games this tournament. It seemed like he was playing the protoss version of Clem, Olivera, Maru. Lots of continuous pressure. He tech switched mid fight without needing to completely rebuild his army. Before restarting to fight. Just constant pressure with great plays and a wide variety of army usage, depending on the situation.
You zoomed in on it but I don't think your brain registered that cluster of voids getting gibbed by biles in game 2. Which, fair enough, that just doesn't happen.
I cannot remember the last time I've seen a Protoss win a 200 vs 200 supply fight vs Terran or Zerg. Feels like if the game isn't ended after strong orcale harass with a follow up or a blink stalker timing then we're just waiting for the T or Z to mass up and win the game.

Hero always has a decent edge here against serral but never commits enough mid game to take out the economy. He suffer late game and collapses. If he takes the right fight he could be winning these games earlier.

Does it ever happen that protoss wins vs Zerg in an equal army size late game fight? All I ever see in the rare cases of toss winning, is toss outmaneuvering the Zerg and clipping off units here and there until they can finally win.
Winter is right. Starcraft 2 is really all I needed this entire time. It's unfortunate I spent so much time being successful in my career and not watching his videos instead.

All stormgate and battle aces have done for me is reveal just how much of a masterpiece SC2 really is. Check out sins of a solar empire 2. Also 30s also never played SC2 but I've played quite a bit of sins rebellion and now I'm on sins2. Great game for single player RTS. Never the same 2 games ever.

air is so trash against Zerg because spire takes 71 seconds and corrupters take 29 seconds. At any moment, zerg is only 1 minute 40 away from having 20 corrupters. Zerg can miss seeing the fleet beacon, and miss seeing carriers or tempests even being built, and still have the perfect response available relatively quickly.
The analasys on the type of viewers he has was spot on. From Age, to thinking sometimes "this and that would have been the better choice" to "my day is a little bit better now that I watched this. WinterStarcraft is truly a magician
