When I sent these two posters to Fourthcone, I was confident they would be amazing when I got them back. But “amazing” doesn’t really do justice to the work they did and the way the finished products actually look. These things were very old and kind of brittle, that peach-colored mat board border was taped to the backs of them and all that had to be removed, there were creases and tears and holes and those big stains on the girl, all the skin tones and the orange were completely faded from the player. What I now have is essentially free of any of those defects; the transformations they executed, when viewed in person, are really just unbelievable, and I could not be more pleased with the way they turned out. Candace did the restoration work, I am told, and her level of talent is off the charts. There is really no reason for these posters to even exist as Oklahoma A&M was, um, less than formidable in football in 1911. But now, they are beautiful treasures, thanks to the skilled staff at Fourthcone. I am very lucky to own them and just as lucky to have found the place that could make them look beautiful.
What a wonderful restoration!
Thank you 😊
