    Would you advise to perform averaging to identify exact frequency of source ?

    I work at a Lexus dealership and our vehicles have aluminum control arms, aluminum steering knuckles, crossmember how would you attach the tool to aluminum? We deal with a lot of one time impact sounds from suspension over bumps and driveways.

      Hello Kevin and thank you for the feedback. Aluminium components are an issue for the magnet of course but there are a number of options depending on application. If we can reproduce the knock stationary then we can clamp accelerometers to the components of interest. If a road rest is required, then we use a bonding agent to attach/bond washers to the components and then attach magnets to the washers. I hope this helps, take care......Steve

      Get yourself a chassis ear, they clip on and you will save yourself $4900....
