I’ve actually really fallen in love with this TTRPG. I’m getting ready to use it to run an Armored Core inspired game, and the setting has so many similarities to AC that it’s been effortless!
I really like the lancer rule set because you can build enemies just like you build pcs and it’s very simple overall compared to other books. Leaves more room for role playing and imagination
Being sci-fi, but with an almost 40k-esque spin in just how *byzantine* can the politics and the faction business be, I think Lancer becomes much more engaging for the group when you start building narratives from an actor-first perspective and then let your group react to them.
40k really helped my Lancer encounter design. Early on, I just had fights and they could really drag. Changing the focus to objectives made encounters SO much better.

Nice what Gundam series would it be based off? I am big fan of IBO, but deep down G Gundam I think would have funnier moments.
