Dumb question. What if you need to have more pages? Like, say, for instance, you were doing a custom baby book (scrapbook), and five pages wouldn't necessarily suffice? 😬😵💫😖🫣🥴🫣 I wanted to do a handcrafted, "labor of love" project for my friend who just had a baby about a month ago. 🤗 You make this look so simple, I almost have the guts to give it a go, if you can give direction on more pages. 😁🤗🙃🤭🙃😜
It’s not a dumb question. 😁 the most important part is adjusting the spine (part between both covers) and hinges (where pages are attached to). For example if you decide to have six base pages, you need one additional space between two pages. If each of those spaces measure 1 unit (in my albums it’s usually 1 or 1.5 centimeters), your spine should be 1.5 centimeters wider. If you have 7 pages, add another unit, so 3 centimeters in total. As for the hinges. Each hinge is made from two scored spaces. In my case they measure 1.5 cm each, so you need 3 cm of paper for one hinge. To that you need to add space between two pages. As I’ve mentioned earlier that is either 1 cm or 1.5 cm (depending on how many elements you would like to have on your pages, therefore making them thicker). Let’s say spaces for hinges measure 1.5 cm and that distance between two pages is also 1.5 cm. For each added page, your hinge paper should be wider for 2x1.5 cm (one hinge) + 1.5 cm (space between two pages). I know this might sound complicated. You can tell me how many pages you would like to make and I will tell you the exact numbers.
It’s thicker paper (normal paper is around 80 gsm) - I’m using 220 - 300 gsm card stock. It is possible to have one with shiny finish, but I’m using matte one.
I buy it in local Arts and Craft store. It’s from brand Fabriano and it comes in 50x70 or 70 x 140 cm format. Also you can try to search it in Hobby stores.
There’s parts missing from this tutorial - how did you cover the inside front an back sections and also how/when did you add the straps for closing the scrapbook. Instructions would be much appreciated - thank you
J'aime bien ce que vous faite. Merci, c'est très beau.
Just found your channel. Love this. Thanks for sharing. Jeanette, New Zealand.

If I want to have 12 total pages in the album how would I do that? Thanks a bunch ❤️

Card stock paper is like the shiny, notebook covers?

@@NJPaperCrafts Okay. Thank you
What are the paper name you used for all pages
Where can I find the 38cm card stock

Why are the semicircles cut from the edge of the pages?
Mostly for the decoration, but it’s also easier to pull out insertable cards that are in the pockets between the pages.

Hermoso...
Well this is great... however, for those of us who make 12"x12" scrapbook pages, not very useful.
Albums can always be adjusted, if you’d like I can make a 12” x 12” album in one of my next videos.
