Phaedra had the nerve to talk down on Sweet Tea’s body, which is natural. Nothing beats being comfortable in the skin you’re in!
Idk why everyone is being overly critical on her changing things up. During Phaedra’s latter years on RHOA we started to see her fizzle out of that “classy southern belle” phase. She’s still the same Phaedra, just in a blonde wig and more designer labels.
When was she in it it though. We met her lying about her out of wedlock pregnancy with her ex felon fiance. The same pregnancy she tried to make everyone stupid for because they can count, and know how conception works.
The problem is that Phaedra’s core fan base aren’t trying to be Instagram baddies. She honestly didn’t need to become part of the crowd because the ppl who support her genuinely liked her being a “southern belle.”
She stood above the fray and it is what people liked when she first got on TV.
But if she don’t wanna be a southern belle anymore that’s her business she don’t owe it to a soul to be anything other than what sh me wants to be

I disagree with Claudia. Phaedra was talking about sex toys, different sex positions, strippers, liking nude bodies, etc for over a decade. If we want to talk about real, Claudia, we don’t know a whole lot about you, either. Portraying to be pro-Black on RHOA as if she wasn’t full-tilt colourist and didn’t apologise until she was found out. She’s talking about Phaedra losing cases, but she’s very celebrated in her field, so she might not want to use recycled reads with zero factual basis, and she never shamed women for showing their bodies, she shamed them for acting like whores and pushing up on men that weren’t theirs.

I use to love Phaedra but after a while, I stopped because this southern belle persona she tried to portray was a farce. This is who she always been but in a way, it’s sort of a redemption for her since people have recently become accustomed to her sneaky
behavior and lowdown demeanor.

I'm no fan of Phaedra but Funky and Claudia are dragging it. Yes, her entire persona is opportunistic, rehearsed and thirsty...but that's what makes her good bravolebrity. This isn't the world of high brow, Oscar winning documentaries. They're reality shows where chicks throw shade and engage in hijinks for our entertainment. She's playing into a character/caricature. It's not a big deal. The other point is that humans are complicated, and just because one has education and professional success doesn't mean they can't/don't/shouldn't derive joy from pursuing "base" desires, be that feeling sexy, engaging in ratchedness, etc. Classism is and respectability politics are strangling the life out us getting the full enjoyment out of the human experience. That said, yea Phaedra is a damn hypocrite but we all knew that already. I said I was vegan the past 364 days before this Thanksgiving. Yesterday I surely wasn't LOL. Get over it.
