My Grandfather had a farm in Parker Pennsylvania, and was in the Navy. I loved listening to these stories as he smoked his pipe and we drank coffee. Your channel really brings back memories.

Love the stories. Reminds me of my grandpa alot. He was stationed at the Norfolk base in the 60s and finished his career in the 70s at the air base in Willow Grove Pa.
My father worked at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia until it closed in the mid 90's (as a civilian, he had been out of the military since the 70's), then finished at West Point. Was the air base in Willow Grove the USO base? He may have done some work there too.
@@edwardmason741 That Im not sure of. I know he flew planes in the Navy, with stops in Norfolk, Willow Grove and Atlanta for a while. Willow Grove was his last stop before retirement after close to 20 years.

My dad was in the Navy for 20 years. Sevrved on several ships, The USS Florikan, The USS John F. Kennedy among others. And this story makes me feel like it's my dad again.
