I found Germany's NAUGHTIEST City By Accident! 😳 🇩🇪 ❌🚨

- Red Light District Frankfurt or Zombie City Kensington Philadelphia - Inspired by travelers Bald and Bankrupt and Gabriel Traveler, I decided to visit Germany as an American tourist. Some Americans are known to be a bit naive on their first trip abroad.. And somehow with my American perspective, I stumbled upon a red light district in Frankfurt which shocked me!

Adventure Elliot is a bilingual travel vlogger (English and Spanish) with a particular interest in the Spanish speaking world. I enjoy taking adventures - big or small - and my goal is to show the Spanish speaking world 1 video at a time.
The goal of my channel is simple yet complex: I want to document and share authentic & educational content of anything related to Adventure Travel, Geography, & Language in the Spanish-speaking world. It's kind of a loaded topic, but it allows me to never exhaust my creative outlets. The truth is, I've always been extremely passionate about what I'm doing on my channel, but I never properly documented it when I started adventuring as a younger man in my college years. I've made over 150 RUclips videos in both English and Spanish, and I have aspirations to make 1000s more. If that sounds interesting to you, join the community and follow me along the way.. After all, we're just getting started.
Frankfurt is sometimes called, "Mein Hatten" with all of the skyscrapers.
Hey Elliot, just discovered your channel today and I really like your videos and how you connect to the people. Gonna watch them one by another now 👍
Greetz from Kassel ❤
You need to go to the Red Light District in Hamburg.
Nice video you brought exactly it to the point showing these contrasts. It’s a great thing to live in Europe in general with so much variety and most countries are really affordable.
Thanks for watching and enjoying
Affordable?😏
Did you say affordable? 🤔
As long as you Don't travel to Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Switzerland.
You rock, Elliot!
Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for watching bro
I love your thoughts and message at the end
Thanks Benito
Great video enjoyed it man
Haha I went to Frankfurt last month and was shocked with the area near the station too 😂. Apparently they have a scheme to help addicts where they offer a medicated "fix" so they gravitate towards there. I got a flix bus to Nuremberg from there tho, it was amazing. Viva Alemania jaja
I wanna go back asap. It’s so amazing during summer and I honestly feel connected to it.. granted I have good friends there that make the experience different 😊
@@AdventureElliot Yeah I agree, I'm going to go and visit more of Bavaria and Saxony
The addicts don't live there on the street, that's just the methadone dispensary place where they go every day to get their dose. There is also a secured room where the junkies can inject heroin in a hygienic environment, this too has greatly reduced the number of drug deaths.
Frankfurt has its own shelter just for the drug addicts. In the 80s before the methadone program was started, it looked really bad in the area.
I have traveled all over Germany and it is the norm, that you will always find the red light area in the vicinity of the train station.
not in Berlin. ok, depends on what train station, but the 'Hauptbahnhof/Central Station' is actually in general a rather pretty modern place - one of the nicest in Germany. One could not say the same about 'Bahnhof Zoo', the former Western main station in Berlin during the Cold war ;) ... the red light districts in Berlin are due to politics rather spread out and on different spots - and some are always changing (Kurfuerstentrasse with the at the street standing prostitution and some shops is a bit of a difference, because it was historically already such a spot. Still in the 90ties you also have seen at the Kurfuerstendamm permanent prostitution standing around - similar to the Oranienburger Strasse which existed as such later (and still to a fewer amount is here and there).
please do a video on your favourite malaga neighborhoods and places you like to go, the Elliot tour, 55 minute video
Working on that content next 👌
Aweee, I can't believe you came to my town, and unfortunately I missed you 😢
Truly hope to see/meet you next time, when you're back in Frankfurt am Main, Germany 🇩🇪❤
Great video Subscribed 😊😊😊😊😊
Brilliant video elliot ,be careful ive been to spain many times but never to madrid ,its hard to believe places like this exist ,i thought it looked like an industrial area on the outskirts of london ,where i am from adios amigo stay safe
The funny thing is you randomly saying "Hi"to strangers/everyone, This is not common in Germany/Europe. They will immediately know you are American or at least not from there. Such a cheese head! LOL
Yeah I know... There's some things that can't change - I can't take the American out of me.. The cool part that in Spain my natural american self is totally normal (especially in Andalucia).. Thanks for watching. Go pack go!
And nor should you change. Be yourself, the world will just have to adjust. Americans, particularly mid-westerners are happy, friendly people. Nothing wrong about that. Take care Eliot! @@AdventureElliot
Irish say hello and nod to most people
germany is like the USA of Europe. cheese heads hahaha
@@AdventureElliot
Go to the middle east. Egypt for example. There they talk to you in the streets and you deal on any business! Lol lmao
If you're from Wisconsin you might have some German ancestory. Just to let you know, in some parts of Germany they don't like being filmed. Goes back to the days of the Stasi.
Daaaang Frankfurt now looks like big cities in Murica minus the tent villages :O Crazy
Theres drug/junk streets in many European developed cities its not only in Hamburg/Germany,try go to Sweden/Stockholm or Denmark/Copenhagen theres a few places streets where junkies are shooting up or smoking crack around or close to fancy upper class places...
Very true you said at the very beginning
I cant beleive.. that person said its a weird place😅 OMG they are having their sweet moment @13:41
What a great video! I really loved your sarcasm and humor and I think you used it to portray/mock the stereotypes many travellers/foreigners have about germany. I´ve seen dozends of your videos and nearly all of them were informative, very "down to earth" and easy/enjoyable to watch, but this one is in most parts very funny and satirical and filled with tongue in cheek comments. I really loved it and your type of humor! It would be great if you could find the time to come back one day and do more videos about germany and some of the surrounding countries. Germany would be a great hub to stay for a week or two and visit some of it´s 9! bordering countries.
Thumbs up as always and all the best to you, your family, friends and loved ones! Keep up the good and very entertaining "work" here on youtube. 👍
Hello.. I haven't seen you in the comments before but now I know you've watched videos.. Awesome.. It was purely satircal but also meant to teach a lesson. Not all Americans are this "ignorant" and it was clearly exagerated, but oftentimes us Americans get a bad reputation among Europeans for the things like this.. But as humans, we are always capable of learning. And yes, as I continue to make content, I analyze which countries are interesting and what my audience likes, so it's possible I could turn this into a European exploration channel to explore the lesser known parts with the help of locals. My original dream was to make this channel about Latin America as my expertise is in that region, but life has many twists and turns. Thanks for watching.
@@AdventureElliot A few months ago I've started commenting on some of your canary island videos, because I really liked them and the canaries are one of my favorite places for vacation.
Skidrow? So where are the tents and all the people laying on the asphalt ?
Alles gut,
I need some food!
Beautiful
Great chanell👍
Hi Elliot, those neighborhoods reminded me of the videos I see of Kesintong and Oregon full of drug addicts. I didn't think I would see this in Germany, I was shocked, what happened to the remnant of the Assyrian empire?.
After the second world war it was "americanized"😉
Hey.. If I made a full video of The barrio rojo en Frankfurt you wouldn't seen a lot more bad things - but the video wasn't supposed to be about that.. It just happened because I'm a curious American exploring different places. It was a bit shocking, to say the least.
Bro can you go to Bulgaria again ? I tell you some places - Asen Fortress than near that Dolni Voden real ottoman turks, after 15 km is there Plovdiv - neighborhood izgrev also there is Şeker Mahala which means sugar street there are the real gypsies... please visit these places
The day I can return to Bulgaria yeah I'll go there to the biggest hood in Plovdiv. Un saludo, you can watch my other videos mate
IN THE UK, MANY PEOPLE USE BUSES IN CITIES AND THAT'S NOT BECAUSE THEY'RE POOR. MANY OF THEM DO HAVE CARS, EVEN THE POOR PEOPLE BUT IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND A PARKING SPACE, WHEN YOU REACH YOUR DESTINATION SO IT'S A LOT EASIER FOR THEM TO JUST TRAVEL BY BUS. ALSO, IN THE UK, YOU'RE GIVEN A TRAVEL CARD, WHEN YOU REACH THE AGE OF 60. THIS TRAVEL CARD, WILL ALLOW YOU TO TRAVEL AROUND FREE SO WHY SHOULD YOU USE YOUR CAR WHICH WILL COST YOU MONEY FOR PETROL/GASOLINE, WHEN YOU CAN TRAVEL AROUND FREE ON BUSES AND ON SUBWAYS.

Good post.
Holy shit! I didn't know the opioid epidemic had reached Germany 😥
It already reached Germany in the late 70´s early 80´s (you might check out the "Chritiane F." movie/books), it just isn´t as BIG as in some cities of the USA and thanks to the german (health care)system you´ll only find/see it in some of the big cities like Frankfurt, Berlin or Hamburg in such drastic ways you see in this video. In germany you won´t find hundreds of people living in tents, roaming the streets using and trying to sell or get hard drugs but only a few dozends in some streets surrounding train stations or red light districts. I would NOT call it an "epidemic"! You will find it in every big German/european city IF you look for it! But you will hardly see ANY scenes like in US youtube clips where hundreds of "zombies" on fentanyl roam around 2 miles on the sidewalks!
Yeah, I think it's perhaps worse in northern Europe, but I'm not sure if the fetanyl crisis is there like it is in the United States.
@@usbxg3474 The same here in Spain in the 80s and 90s. But that was heroin. This looks like fentanyl. I know that any city in Germany doesn't look like Philly or San Francisco, of course. My cousins live in Berlin and Deutschschweiz, I´d have been told. But they never tell me that u can see zombies in the middle of a big city. I have never seen something like this here in Vigo or Coruña, but I have to admit that cities here in Galicia have half the population of Frankfurtk.
These are still heroin addicts, as they were in the 70s. Since very few opioids are prescribed as painkillers in Germany, there has been no increase in addicts in recent decades.
@@egoneiermann-tn7sc I'm glad. I love Germany coz that country has allowed family members I love to be able to dedicate to music.
They couldn't have done it here in Spain,
at least not in such good conditions.
Have a good day ppl 🙋♂
Frankfurt has a huge train station..
Dude, as the Germans say "Do your homework" before you go places. Frankfurt has great history, old and new monuments and much more.
Where in the states are you from? You sound German to me.
I absolutely love Frankfurt and the train station area isn’t a representation of it. It’s so sad that a lot of people only see that part.
“I love how punctual Germans are” while being on a train was very funny though :D
Claro que no te sientes guiri en Alemania. Eres tan guiri como ellos. No lo entenderéis en la vida.
Un saludo Kike
German coffee, German beer, German houses, German cars, German food, German breakfast, German windows……I am just guessing, you are in Germany? Dude you sound like just got out of your mother’s basement for the first time!
good video
I visited Germany in the 80s and it was the most beautiful place for me, very clean, very efficient in every way, very friendly nationals , happy and safe, what is happening now to this world?? Why are we electing dumb politicians? 😢 Thanks for sharing this video, I will visit Germany again soon as I can 👍🏼🤗
To say soccer in Germany makes you the biggest fool in town!

ever heard of Central Park in NYC ? most US cities have parks.
Great!!! Buen video. Me ha encantado!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Frankfurt is great ... except around the station. Bit dodgy.
You did well doing a Deutschlisch accent. After all, if you're from Wisconsin you've some Deutsch in your dreams. Pilseners are not Germany, they're from Pilsen, Checia. If you want to learn some German check out Easy German.
I live in this City the area is really dangerous there always people with knife’s and guns
debo admitir que admiro a Alemania en el sentido que se levantaron luego que los aliados los arrasaron con bombardeos masivos, se salvaron de la bomba nuclear gracias a que la guerra en Europa terminó antes de que estuviera lista la bomba atómica
Is Frankfurt am main ?
With airport.
Dude Frankfurt looks worse than when I visited. 😮
Everywhere else besides the red light district was amazing.
Exactly, Frankfurt am Main is beautiful❤❤@@AdventureElliot
🤔I wonder how many people took you literally about malls and parking lots 🤪❗❗❗
Haha glad you understood the satire
america really needs to follow how europe does it, atleast on some things. Seriously.
Jaja yo tambien veia al pelonpobre y al gabriel. Te ves mas maduro en este video quen los de espana😆

Very good 👍 Chanel 🤩👍
Germany is the strongest economy in European union , so it is natural to see all that beauty
Aruba??

Great video, you explain it realy good, Germany is a cool country. The best thing in European cities you dont need a car. Public transportation is great. everybody use trains, buses, trams. A good exemple is Frankfurt to Paris in about 3 hours. thats faster then by plan.
Hello Marco I'm glad you liked it.. Also I'm glad you understood the sarcasm :)
The way you pronounce Amazing to Amazin' I know you are not American by blood, you are latino right?
Nice food many senic tours better than gg to States .
Enjoy my trip in Germany
14.09 thats the bad part of town.
I lived In Frankfurt for 4 years, that was Kaiserstrasse , red light district , one small area, Frankfurt is new because it was raised to the ground…… you have a very skewed negative outlook on America…… numerous false statements in your vid …… the U.S. has much culture - and so does Deutschland ….. I did enjoy your video …. TY
I was using satire to make a point about some American tourists when they travel abroad but the moral is they can learn and open their mind through traveling and connecting to their roots
What a fantastic amazing 🤩 place 👍🤩👌
Jajaja Elliot, tu no eres normal ni en USA, allí está lleno de afroamericanos, hispanoamericanos, chinos, etc, etc. De blancos europeos hay pocos. Tu has subido al Metro de N.York? O Washington? Todo el mundo es de color chocolate. Jajaja.😂😂❤

I love parts of Germany, but o detest Munich .
nurse here, 10 y assisting in frankfurt drug scene. Great video nice guy, but pls dont call them "Zombies" or film them..thats not adorable trait of you. And why would you fistbump a pimp, and call him a great guy, what for? for traffiking ukrainian women into prostituition? Sry for critizism, but thats heart felt for me.
Hello, thanks for the feedback. I had no idea he was a pimp, I was just trying to avoid conflict. Zombies because the drugs have that effect. It’s very sad.. look up “Kensington Philadelphia” and see the results .. that’s where I got the idea, so it wasn’t to offend.
I can change the thumbnail
Thats a very open minded attitude that you are showing with your response and also the quick answer. I didnt want to express "the truth" just my view. Those things just stood in contrast to your enjoyable personalty. Otherwise i wouldnt even have commented. Ty for the video. Greetings from Frankfurt/Ger. @@AdventureElliot
I looked up Kensington, and watched a doc. Is very familiar for me and sad ofc, but it also reminds me that the drugs are drugs, not more nor less, and we shouldnt fight drugs, because thats a war we cant win, but we can fight the reasons why people take drugs..maybe we can win this war.
@@AdventureElliot
@@AdventureElliotYou did nothing wrong!!!! ❤
Dear Elliot, I detect an accent. Are you American born? Also, I take issue with some of the preconceptions and prejudices this video displays. A lot of Europeans are moving to South (Latin) America, for example, seeking freedom and a better quality of life, especially to countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, Chile, etc. Similarly, there are more than 1 million American ex-pats living in Mexico for the same reason. Let's get rid of old antiquated stereotypes and misconceptions about our world,
I think it was ironic
Some of my accent was me imitating the german accent in english.., I'm 100% American born. And will I understand Europeans also immigrate, to find a better cost of living, but Americans in general don't have the best reputation in Latin America, unfortantely .. To give you an idea, this video will prove my point: ruclips.net/video/uV6CaCz9yK8/видео.html
Some Americans and Europeans do a great job immigrating and integrating, but others do a lot of damage. In my travel experiences in Latin America, Germans, Dutch, etc did a great job learning Spanish.
@@AdventureElliot I watch the video that was really interesting actually ahha
@@AdventureElliot Yes, I agree. Vielen dank, Elliott,
@AdventureElliot Bit late to the party, but that video you posted in reply to @jgonz260 does not "prove" anything. It is just a diatribe by one ex New Yorker who forms his own singular opinion based on his personal life experience bias the way we all do. I grew up in the SF bay area the then was transplanted to the Midwest in the early 80s in my late teens. My first impression of the Midwest was one that the general cultural norm here in the "Corn Belt" was stunted, ignorant and xenophobic, hence my bias at the time. I think the internet has helped resolve much of that ignorance. Of course there are good people and bad people in every global demographic. That said I have been enjoyed our videos so far, albeit I would agree with others this one has more what I would call inadvertent gaffes compared to your others. I do think it is admirable how you appear to work on emulating "Mr. Bald" too as he is one of the best role models for how it should be done IMO. "Just sayin'" I wish you further success.
This is every city in Germany sadly.
Frankfurt is lost
As if we had not already enough cartoon figures with an abominable outfit....
Lol comparing everything to America..... Ah man.... 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Maybe America should have red light district too.....

@@AdventureElliot you being "stupid" American tourist.... Needs a bit more acting... More dramatic.... Quite a change for you huh, living in Spain. Speaking Spanish, learning different languages.... You're in the top 10% of America. Compared to the overwhelming majority of narrow minded or "stupid" Americans.... Well done buddy. Show America how it's done the right way.
