    I just came to RUclips after finishing an SR22 IFR from Juneau to Sitka. I know why it pulls left on takeoff but came here cause Austin never fails to entertain us.

    My question as a SR20 Pilot is ‘why doesn’t the SR22 in X-Plane pull to the left as much as the real thing’?
    I can safely fly without touching the pedals and never see any departure of coordination. (Yes, I have automatic coordination disabled)
    I think P-Factor is a much bigger deal in the real aircraft.

      @bird.9346 Год назад

      As a non-pilot what's the definition of "departure of coordination"? You do require some right rudder to stay coordinated at low airspeed and high power, but it certainly isn't much. It's also very hard to tell if you're coordinated in the sim without looking at the turn coordinator so all you can really do is compare the instruments. Cool to see you here, though I'm sure those comments are irritating lol

      Hello there, the designer of the default SR22 in X-Plane set a fixed deflection of the vertical stabilizer of 0.8 degrees to the right. If the real aircraft does not have this fixed deflection (but has a symmetric vertical stabilizer instead), then that could explain the lack of pull to the left of the X-Plane SR22.
      From a virtual flight test, in a max power climb at 80KIAS, I get the following values in X-Plane for the default SR22:
      slip angle with centered rudder: 0.4 degrees;
      rudder deflection required for coordinated flight: 6%;
      If I modify the aircraft in Plane-Maker (taking out the 0.8 degrees of the vertical stabilizer and making it symmetric), the left turning tendency increases:
      slip angle with centered rudder: 0.9 degrees;
      rudder deflection required for coordinated flight: 15%.
      Still too low probably, but a bit stronger than the default aircraft.

      @BotanistOnDuna Год назад +2

      Before early access, they had a tweet about xp12 on the steam deck. Another way they could get more profit and support is playstation. Playstation has more fans than xbox so playstation players who wanted fs2020 will get xp12 instead. Plus, PSVR with xp12 would be even more profitable. LR has so many opportunities to monopolize so many markets.

They are crazy. And taxi is impossible. Do you noticed that? Is it a bug related to the last update? BE58 and B737 taxi well. The bug seems only on mono-engine aircrafts😢

    There is actually a problem with not being able to calibrate for the dead zone of a Logitech yoke. It can not be explained away by what happens in real life with a plane. If the yoke is slightly off to one side, then this drifting problem will be even worse - making it almost impossible to fly and land. This is especially a problem on the Mac, where it is not possible to fix in any easy way through the settings. You actually have to do some hardware hacking, by implementing a joystick USB board, to get rid of this annoying problem. So do not try and tell people they just do not know about the physics of a plane. The problem is much worse on the computer than in real life. It would never happen in this way in a real plane.
