You are a blessing! For the last couple of days, i started studying (Daniel 8,11,12) and today I "sat in your class" and few people can make history exciting and funny! I love history and its of my opinion that prophecy can be relevant for any generation and especially our generation as events unfold around us. As a Retired Respiratory Therapist, i decided to go through all the centuries since Christ to see if each century suffered from a pandemic, plague or pestilence and sure enough, each century dealt with one or the other and in most cases, it followed after a revival or spiritual awakening! I have subscribed and i'll try to catch up!
@@GoreBruce ohhh... wait a minute... yea there is some issues here I can see that I missed. But still the sound is taken out. Dear Bruce, my name is Achim Klein, I'm a German Architect, 53 years old, married, etc. I saw your very interesting video and appreciate your way to teached it! My question is the following: I heard, that the second king of the Seleucids (Antiochus I. Soter) were not mentioned in Dan 11. Do you know if it is like that and do you know why? The list is overwhelming exact, so it does not fit, that thas was an accident by Daniel. What Do you think? Pleased to hear from you! Kind regards from Germany, Achim
Sorry for the delay in responding. I only caught your post and excellent question today! It does appear that Antiochus I was not referred to specifically in Daniel 11. There are actually some other omissions as well. It was not the purpose of the chapter to give an exhaustive list of the rulers in Egypt in Syria, but rather to refer to those whose careers would have a particular impact on the history of Israel. In the case of Antiochus I, it appears that his involvement in the history of Israel was relatively minor, and was thus disregarded in this chapter. Thanks for the question!
@@GoreBruce The omission of Antiochus I in Daniel 11 makes Antiochus IV. from a 8th to a 7th king. From vers 36 onwards an endtimely king is mentioned. So, he is the 8th king in Daniel. John in Revelation talks about 7 kings and an 8th who is of the 7 and goes into perdition. This is the missing link from rev to Dan! The bible is more than precisely and true. Kind regards, Achim
He boiled a Jewish priest alive, he killed pigs and spoiled their blood on their sactuaries, he arose a statue of Zeus on their Solomon Temple. Unaxeptable things!
It is at 10:20 and the editor who put this video together must have censored the date of December 25th in order to hide the Pagan history behind the day the Papacy chose to call the birthday of Jesus.

Where is your evidence of belief that the Pharisees and sedducess came from the Hellenizers and Essenes(pious ones) the Pharisees? Thanks for answering in advance.

Even more interesting is the Hyxos (Hiksos?) Pharoahs in Egypt. Basically Greeks and Middle Eastern people with blue eyes that took over Egypt for the period before the Hebrews became slaves.
No they're not middle Eastern people. The Hittites are an Indo-European people and in the New Kingdom the pharaoh's purposely intermarry with their royal family to maintain peaceful relations. So that the pharaohs of the New Kingdom become mixed semitic / Indo-European people and in certain individuals those phenotypes exhibit to a greater degree than others and so you get blonde Dinaric looking Ramses the second but that's perfectly understandable and explainable
And there are no Hebrew slaves in fact at the time when the Exodus was supposed to happen Egypt rule the entire region almost all the way to Turkey so when Moses crossed the Red Sea he would have found himself right back in Egypt
If I may you need to remember that though the greek word Martyr may have the idea of witness the English word clearly means one who gives up ones life for their faith or beliefs. This makes far more sense in this context that he is referring to the English word rather than the greek.
@@corinhorn what the english word means is completely irrelevant, because the english word was not what was used in the Greek it was written in. What this means is that the english translated word was poorly translated.

From the description to the end this is a disaster. Antiochos was not "the ruler of Syria" he was the ruler of the Seleucid Greek Empire. The rest is just total Jewish mythology.
I have no idea what your point is, but I'll venture a guess that you're a Turkish nationalist (the worst kind) who objects to me calling it's a Greek Empire. Until the 7th and 8th centuries when the Seljuks arrive from the Pontic Steppe, there are no Turks in Anatolia. So even using the term Turkey is anachronistic. Second, the empire was formed after Alexander's death in 312, and it ended with conquest by Armenians (your favourite) and Roman general Gnaeus Pompeius in 63 BCE. It was a Greek speaking Empire since Greek was the lingua Franca of the period much as today English is around the world, and at its height it extended all the way to Bactria which is today Afghanistan. What the hell you're talking about and calling me out when did I not say that it also included the regions you mention? You're so ignorant that you think Greek Empire would have to be in Greece and yet you're correcting someone. The Empire lasted for a long time and therefore the regions it controlled shifted as it was frequently under attack from various sides. Armenians often challenged the Seleucids, such that Anatolia was in fact one of the most unstable regions of the Empire and frequently shifted hands with Cappadocia and Mysia frequently in different hands, and the ionian region controlled by the king of Macedonia. On the south Western portion of the Empire where Judea and Egypt were it was frequently subject of squirmishes between the ptolemaic dynasty which was also Greek that controlled Egypt and was also a leftover from Alexander's Empire divided between his generals. I suggest you learn more about the subject before you call someone out, "bud."

Nothing in Maccaabbee or Daniel is factual. It's all propaganda. Antiochos IV was morally correct.
