    Ducati redefined the "power cruiser" class with the introduction of the Diavel in 2011; fit a superbike engine in a cruiser chassis, and then equip it with fully adjustable suspension. Brilliant. Dave tunes both the standard and the Carbon models here.

    My Diavel is doing exactly what the Carbon is doing. I need to watch the full length and sort mine out!! These Gen 1's are known to be somewhat weak knee'd and many upgrade the rear to an Ohlins and fronts to Andreanni forks.

      You can get by much cheaper with Maxima or Motul 5W fork oil and a shock spring (if needed). Might just need a shock service with fresh shock 10w oil instead. See where you are with settings now and record them prior to dial in and then once finished, see what changed :)

      @@catalystreactionsbw oh great! thank you! I intend on watching your full length video on the Diavel's to do some initial set up and hopefully dial it in correctly! Happy New Year!

    Hi Dave, always impressed by your work, but you've taken it to another level knowing you have a Miata :)

      Hoping to make the Miata a street/track car in 2021 and looking at a supercharger of some kind.

    Some of these bikes coming in, it doesn't surprise me manufacturers decide not to spec adjustable forks and shocks on most of their bikes. Dealerships should step up and set their bikes up to a basic level.

      If you flip that over, dealer staff changing showroom settings may seem to be devaluing the product. That is a real perspective for OEM's to have. Those that list different settings in the owner's manual - perhaps not. What would be useful is a course when you pick up a bike of what adjuster is what and reference the appropriate pages in the owner's manual.

    Hi Mr Moss, hope you’re in good health, I would really be grateful if you could shed some light on a little broblem I have, I have a 2011 ducati diavel and my engine is knocked, can’t find parts here in Ghana, wanted to know if the 2015 model engine fits or can fit into my 2011 model or at the very least I can take the crank and other parts of the engine from the 15 model into my 11 model , thank you in advance

      Hello Marino. Great question and unfortunately I do not know the answer to that as I do not build engines. The engine swap would be very easy to validate: - check the part numbers for the frame and engine mounting bolts. Id the same - it will be possible :)

    Hi @davemoss Question for you Sir. What do you think of the 2000 Triumph 600 TT motorcycle..?? I have a gd opportunity to puck one up right now, its a track bike, runs, has new.. newish tyres, the dyno commander III ... etc... and its not wrecked at all. $500

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  3 года назад +1

      As the PCIII is on, that cures the fueling issue. Do a compression check on the engine and check for dings carefully. If all is good, you have your own Trash or Treasure motorcycle!
