Chan talked about Connected on his most recent Channie's Room! He joked about it being about wifi before saying he based it on Romeo and Juliet without the tragedy... then joked about it being about wifi again lol he said the lyrics were toned down a lot too, like what were the original lyrics, Chris?! 😳
We also have a full Japanese comeback coming on February 22 2023. They had the audacity to drop the teaser in less than 48 hours of SKZ Replay. Connected is my fav song off this side of the album but all the other songs are really good too! Originally Connected was made for I.N.
Technically speaking, as with essentially all SKZ songs (one ad lib in one song notwithstanding), there's no gender specified for the person Chan or anyone else is singing about. Statistics are in favor of "she" and "some girl," but they've been clear about deliberately making their lyrics gender-neutral so that the music is more inclusive and accessible, and for me it feels most respectful to honor that choice when they make it. Just two cents from a queer fan who appreciates both your reactions and SKZ's conscious thoughtfulness.
Yes of course, I'm very mindful of this and thought Chan had used a female pronoun in Connected but I was mistaken. I'll be more careful of this in the future. Thanks for watching 😊

Id like the link to that ff too please) Limbo is one of my favorites as well. I’d say the songs wich I liked vocally the most on this a-side were LeeKnow and Felix. (I wished Chan would use less effects on his voice since he has such a great tone without. But that’s my personal taste) But I loved all the songs in their own right. And I most definitely needed doodle,connection and hug me to get me out of the deep end again 🥲😉
