Socialism is complicated. Let's just talk about healthcare.
Problem: companies don't have people's interest at heart and jack up prices.
Proposed solution: the government which wastes 50 cents per tax dollar and has every incentive to exceed annual budget so as to get more funding... Gets to take over it.
So, you're all wrong. Neither the private, nor public sector are going to be able to make an efficient, effective healthcare system. Humans are a lot less smart than the propaganda tries to let on. There is no solution because we are the problem.

They want to ban everything, engrave that in your brain, bans like mag limits, certain firearms by names. suppressors and barrel lengths are only the beginning before all out bans like the one right now, we need to hold our ground like they do in the US regarding their Second Amendment, any firearm bans are not reasonable in any shapes.
Before the big gun ban in Canada in the 70s you could get full auto AKs and M16s, did people massacre each other in the streets? NO! So why would it be any different now? It's either all or none, don't give any concession to those that wanna ban guns (real or toy), because they'll just come back 5-10 years down the line demanding more. If you keep giving them what they want, eventually you're left with nothing.

As an American firearm lover who played airsoft as a kid growing up, and a fellow RuneScape lover, I sincerely want to wish you the best of luck my friend from the north. I also wanted to give some insight to your predicament as someone who has a relatively new love for the 2nd Amendment. THIS, my fine feathered friend from the north, is why people hold the 2A so near and dear. THIS is why people get upset about magazine limits, bans, registries, and any other infringement on all of our rights to defend ourselves and wherever we call home. As soon as you give into ANY sort of desire to control these things, it starts a landslide the ends up with what you are looking at right now in the country you call home.
As soon as the people that wield the power hear the citizens say "Oh, it's okay. It's not a big deal. I can live with that." as a response to ANY sort of law or rule that may seem otherwise harmless (like how some people see magazine limits), they take that as a go-ahead to keep chipping away, little by little, year by year, "small/not a big deal" rule by rule until you find yourselves in this exact predicament. Your government wants to ban a literal TOY because it resembles a real life firearm. It's not for safety, you said this yourself. You must then ask why they want this law in place to begin with. Unfortunately, I think the only reasonably conclusions to this inquiry all have strictly negative repercussions.
Of which brings me back to the parallel I was trying to draw earlier regarding firearm restrictions that infringe on the 2A. When people that seek to do harm or commit crimes with firearms (or any other tool like a car for that matter, see: Ireland), they have no regard for any law. They acquire the firearms illegally, whether it be from mass importing via a black market, stealing them, making them themselves, or by whatever other means you can think of. Limiting magazine sizes for those that would abide by the law does nothing for their own safety. Banning AR-15s in the US when there are more of them than people does nothing for their safety. It does the opposite, it makes it harder for law abiding citizens to defend themselves against evil people that don't care about the laws in the first place. For example, if you tried to defend your home/loved ones from a home invasion and there was more than one person breaking in hell bent on doing you harm, I'm SURE you would not want to reload a 5 round magazine every time you had to. Again you have to ask, is that law for my safety? If not, why do they want it in place?
Id like to digress before I stray too far of the beaten path, but on that note I want to say Im rooting for you all in the north. This is a crazy thing to have to deal with and you all need to fight like hell because you are right, the people making these laws have no idea what they are talking about. Just like our ever quotable elected president, and the idiotic people behind him that believe the "AR" in AR-15 stands for "Assault Rifle".
We live in wild times, good luck up there my friend.

The end goal of all firearms laws is not to withhold guns from criminals, it's about killing firearm culture. You're simply down stream of real firearms and therefore a target, and will always be a target of anti-gun politicians. As an American I can tell you that the reason why allowing these “reasonable” laws is an issue because they will always come for more and it’s happening in front of your face and you can’t see it. They say “well only five rounds” and now they’re coming for your Airsoft guns. That’s why MOST gun control is inefficient. Same thing happened in CA, they started with a week wait before a obtaining your firearm, then 30 round magazines lowering them to 25 and then 15 and then 10 and then they went after detachable magazines and then after pistol grips and now they’re after normal telescoping and foldable stocks, and now after foregrips, and now there’s a list of “approved” handgun. The people who thought (like yourself) the first laws were reasonable are the same people that are getting fucked by these laws, that’s the thing with politicians, you give them an inch and they take a mile; that’s why it’s important to always fight gun control, I may sound tinfoil hat man but it’s happening in Canada. Seriously this video is proof of how far and unreasonable they’re willing to be. All because they (the citizens) allowed their country to pass “reasonable” gun control and now this is happening.

Both sawed of or short barreled shotguns are already prohibited weapons, In fact, if say a manufacturer makes a model of firearm from the factory that has an 18 1/2 inch barrel, and you want one so you saw your 30 inch barrel OF THE SAME GUN down, you have "altered the original firearm and are therefor breaking the law by making it a "sawed off" shotgun. Don't think about it too hard....this is Canada....home of the stupid politician. As for the grenade launcher....even his plastic version breaks the new law as part of bill C-21 in that ALL firearms, or facsimiles, or "weapons" having a bore of more than 20mm are Prohibited hence illegal. They already had to make an amendment to this bill when the firearms community pointed out that all 12 gauge shotguns with an interchangeable choke and the choke tube removed....as well as all 10 gauge shotguns used for bird hunting...meet the criteria as originally written. yes...we are doomed.

There's at least genuinely more good news than what was shown in the video. Not only are the conservative party against this Bill, but every other political party is also against it. Both the Bloc and the NDP are now against basically all the airsoft and new amendments made to the Bill. With that, there's at least a chance the Bill won't go through with how it is current. -Own pistols, rifles, shotguns ect
-Own 10 round mags, AND own a magazine of ANY size by using one of your "slots" on your gun licence, of which you have 10 (aka any mag is easily obtainable)
    -No caliber restrictions
-Own muskets, older revolvers and flintlocks without any licence, and carry them openly
-Conceal carry (though its a bit harder to do, its possible)
    Again, no mass shootings here....
Banning mags doesnt solve sh*t, as theyre easily 3d printable, or just go buy them illegaly, people do that RN anyways (Ban drugs= no drug use am i right?!)
Mass shootings arent committed by legal owners most of the time...

they wont unfortunately. this is from a real gun angle but we are the only thing defending you guys rn so accept it.
Basically we lost the battle when we conceded on self defense not being a legal means for firearms. now liberals and government can just brush aside sports/target shooting as "a hobby for killers" and tell hunters they are barbaric for hunting (even stepping on native rights to do so!!!!). and they are. we need to push back on c21, destroy it and then push on guns being useful for self defense. otherwise this will happen again, assuming c21 falters, which depending on if the spring 2023 election rumors are true then it may die as all laws in writing do during one. if that happens then we have a bit of time but if trudeau wins again he will just rewrite C21 to be even more stupid.
Basically vote conservative this upcoming election, pls.

We in the UK had to fight against the 2008 VCRA 'violent crime reduction act' which was posed to ban airsoft here. We did fight back, the compromise we all came to was what the UKARA players exemption resolution provided. Essentially we need to be a member of a club to buy realistic (black/tan/brown/OD) guns off the shelf. If we are not we can still purchase them but finished in "unrealistic colours" - usually bright luminescent greens, oranges and blues. It was an annoying compromise at the time.. but hey, we're still here and we still get to play our sport. I wonder if you guys in Canada are heading in the same direction.
