He's actually known for being a really nice, kind, generous man in "real life". He does A LOT for charity but goes unnoticed because he doesn't make a song and dance about it. Richard Osman said: "Frankie Boyle is one of the kindest, warmest most gentle human beings you could ever hope to meet...Until you put a microphone in front of him and he becomes a sociopath!"
Which is how we should all aspire to be... Kind when it matters, funny when it doesnt
Because the need of boasting about being charitable defeats the object of being charitable.
@@doobsthegr8 Indeed. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather people do it and boast about it than not doing it at all but still.
Richard osman is an absolute clown
Saw him at the Leicester Square theatre two days ago, it was odd not like a tour show he was just testing out some new bits I’m assuming for his next show or tour but he was really engaging with the audience and wanted to know opinions at the end etc really really good, when telling the jokes ruthless yet more relatable/ relevant to current things than I think than his earlier previous work has been, but when talking with the audience after really nice approachable guy
The fact that you clearly get some of the very British references in Frankie's jokes, shows how immersed in British culture you've become.
Nothing wrong with that!!
he got alot, thats impressive haha@@theogeorgiou8331
In case you didn't really fully catch the Harry and Ron turned the wands on themselves joke, it was a Columbine reference, saying that after Harry and Ron killed the other students they'd kill themselves. Frankie is fucking brutal lmao!
Without wishing to appear dumb thank you, I hadn’t got that, but now you’ve put me right I too am lmao 😂 👍🇬🇧🏴
I am dumb! only now i got the reference.
Oh God, I've seen that joke so many times, only now that's you've pointed it out do I realize it wasn't some sort of sexual pun.
the Princess Di joke is utterly sublime
i LOVE HOW YOU LOVE THE BRIT HUMOUR
Frankie is the best comedian in the U.K.
Brutal in the most intelligent possible way is the best way to describe a lot of his comedy.
or Intelligent in the most brutal way
Never seen him laugh like he did at the Steve Irwin joke lol
Irwin* but yeah me ether. Made me howl too
@@insertgenericusernamehere2402 I knew I should have looked that up lol
Just stumbled upon this guys channel and have watched about 5 vids back to back because his laugh is so infectious haha!
Saw Frankie live back then, thank god i wasn't in the front three rows.
For some more Scottish comedy
Please react to some Rikki Fulton. This is a one take comedy acting masterclass from an old timer Scottish comedy genius!!
“Last Call - Rev David Goodchild - 1978 - Rikki Fulton - IM Jolly”
That's braw water ( vodka).
Also the Harry Potter joke about turning the wands on themselves was a dig at the columbine shooting😂 have you seen the Richard Hammond drag car crash? It’s wild hahahah
What I love about this guy is he seems to understand it. Whoever or whatever he's reacting to, he can appreciate and dissect it for what it is. I've seen plenty of other Americans react to these things and they're silent for half the video. You deserve an applause man, much appreciation 👍👍
I've noticed that. They either don't understand the references, don't understand the joke at all, or try to dissect it too much.
Frankie is my neighbour. He is actually a very nice guy. I know he's "controversial" but he uses my kind of humour. His "Lady Diana" joke...Even I said...OOFF!!. You're not going to get away with that, Frankie. Even though I thought it was very funny. (It's one of my favourites)
Queens speech. I'm so old .... that one liner is one of his best ever
I think the problem is his best work is saying out loud everything we have thought in private but wouldn't dare to say in public, shows like mock the week can be hit and miss especially as it's relying on what's predominantly been happening recently.
I loved Frankie Boyle, still do, despite people wanting to cancel him being he's too 'woke' or something like that. He's undoubtedly in my top 5 favourites. The election autopsy show he did was great.
It’s not the wokeness. Woke people are seldom funny, but that is a matter of taste.
It is the hypocrisy some find nauseating. Like going after Gervais’s trans jokes, when he has made more than a few himself, was it Venus or Serena Williams he had a go at? Can’t remember.
He has pretty much made a name of himself being a shock comedian, I mean…. I even recall him making Maddie Mccann jokes. And now he critizes other comedians for potentially upsetting people… please. What a clown.
@@TommyGlint I think he went at ricky because he said the same old trans joke that is just boring. If you watch the 2019 frankie boyle show which is called something like hate me. He explains why he was annoyed.
@@TommyGlint It's so funny watching you idiots tie yourselves into knots trying to deliberately misunderstand what Frankie clearly says, solely because you don't like his politics but can't rebut them. For instance, here, you're trying to assert that Frankie's criticizing comics for using shock humour, when he's actually criticizing them for using shock humour badly and irresponsibly.
A smarter person would realize that such mental gymnastics probably mean their assumptions need a rethink, but not you.
@@TommyGlint It's about intent. When Frankie Boyle was making jokes about missing children or the terminal ill, he was never contributing to a cause that threatened to strip away the rights and protections of those vulnerable groups. They were brutal jokes, don't get me wrong, but we laughed/cringed and moved on to his next joke. What Gervais and Chappelle are doing with their trans jokes, whether by accident or design, is encouraging a movement that wants to strip away the political rights of trans people. Trans people have become a lightning rod to fight the next culture war...it's not really about trans people, but about manipulating and gaslighting people in order to attract them towards your political ideology. You can still make jokes about trans people, as the trans experience itself is funny. Frankie's point is: make better jokes.
@@TommyGlint Pff. Most of the people who went off him went off years ago, whining about how he'd changed, were just butthurt about his targets. When Labour was in charge it was all great when he shat on them; then came the Tories and he shat on them too, and suddenly "he's gone PC/woke". The only clowns running about are the folks pretending that's not the case and finding any stupid little thing to point to as an excuse instead. 🙄
Nice Yorkshire flag you have behind you!
Good to see it on a video!
That Richard Hammond wedding day reference from Frankie was just so dark and brutal. Wow, loved it.
we have some of the best comedians of time here in Britain
Frankie is a genius. How he comes up with so many jokes on the spot blows mind
Mock the week was a studio show, the comedians prepare loads of jokes beforehand and they drop them in when they think it goes best, if it gets the reaction desired then it might stay in the episode
He was actually one of the team of writers for this show too
I can confirm that's standard procedure for Bathgate 8:00
The crazy thing is this is the stuff they left in. Imagine what was left out. Saw him once in Dunfermline (Scotland) and the whole show was like "Oh Jesus!!!" while laughing of course
Frankie is still hilarious 👍🏼
I seriously love to hear you laugh, it really cheers me up 🤭🤣🤭
I’d love it if you could do a reaction to some of Joe Wilkinson’s best moments on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. The montage of his entrances interrupting the show are pure hilarity.
Frankie ' no filter ' Boyle.... brilliant stuff.
The joke about Bathgate sounds about right I can imagine that happening.
Definitely, been out on the drink there easily see that happening.
I saw someone have a meat cleaver thrown at them from a car in Bathgate. Someone pissing on their door is pretty realistic
Dude u looked baked hahaha, I'm the same, brew with a smoke n comedy..can't beat it
Thank you for delving into Frankie Boyle, the funniest comedian there ever was. Loving it.
I needed a good laugh today, thanks for this.
Another Scottish comedian! Love it! Just like billy Connolly!
Fell into this randomly! Just love your humour, many Americans don’t seem to get us! Thank You!
I could just watch to listen to the laughter.
Only just discovered your channel, really glad I did, your laugh is so infectious!
Dude your laugh is so awesome.. totally infectious
Love old school Frankie, not so much any more. Great reaction as always, cheers.
@J That's it. It's not even that I don't agree with a lot of what he says, it just doesn't make good comedic material. My opinion of course.
@Matthew Zilog glad I'm not the only one who hated tramadol nights!
@Matthew Zilog well said mate. Agree with all of that.
LOL, wut? Like what you like, sure, but "Frankie Boyle's New World Order" is some of his greatest work so far.
Operation out of the frying pan.... Lmao!! I'm just in the mood for Frankie!! Thanks!! Kx
Love this guys laugh is so infectious
I've watched all these frankie clips before, but your reactions are funny 😂
Frankie used to stay near me in Cathcart, Glasgow.. was always in having a drink in the local pub The Clockwork! He is a great guy honestly.
Love from Scotland! Thank you✌️💙💙💙💙
That was most excellent. Thanks Mr E.B.
i enjoy watching your reactions - and i love your laugh
Consider reacting to some of Sean Locks best bits.
Rest in Peace
Sean Lock - comedians comedian.
Thanks for sharing this compilation, I hadn’t realised how funny a programme ‘Mock the Week’ was/is (don’t know if it’s still on), and your reactions say it all, but I wonder if part of Frankie Boyles funniness is down to his accent as well as his quick wit. Thanks again EBR. 😂😀👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴
P.S You are 100% correct that some of his one-liners are close to the border line of acceptability, however, I like to think that the people who watch this kind of comedy and comedian are intelligent and intellectual enough to realise that a) it’s called a ‘joke’ because it is funny when taken purely at face value and b) the only people who would be offended by this type of humour are the same people who get offended if you look 👀 at them, or DO NOT share their opinion about everything, but to those people I say “if you don’t like it why don’t you just turn it off” and DILLIGAF.
That was brilliant. Luv yer.
The amount of enjoyment I get from this channel is insane. Thanks EB
I agree chap, he is a sharp witty genius.
A great reaction!, cheers dude 👍🇬🇧
Your laugh is awesome!!
Its funny you say "the dude's a trip", because like Bill Hicks, and indeed Jimi Hendrix, Frankie enjoys the occasional lsd trip to keep his mind open and the humour pouring out. Maybe we should all try it lol.
Mock the week, another premier satirical programme taking its lead from centuries of Britain pillorying the rich famous political class. The whole series is worth catching. Granted that many references will be to British politics and public life that you may not get, but still fearless parody. Along with Have I Got News For You.
Australia had it's own version called Good News Week. Basically the same but Australian news stories and stuff.
Absolutely hilarious laughter
I've just randomly come across your videos in my suggested column today and being British myself, loving this show, and loving Americans reacting to our things, this has been brilliant. Please please don't just stick to Frankie Boyle though, please just watch all of the Scene's We'd Like To See as Hugh Dennis is hilarious too!
Frankie's live shows are awesome, they are out on dvd.
King Frankie, a Scottish treasure 🏴
OH GOD. I loooooove Frankie Boyle material
Just brilliant
Enjoyed laughing my head off with you here. Try Bill Hicks
Good post,thumbs up & I Subscribed.
Don't care who you are, if you don't love this mans laugh, you're crazy.
He's so brutal but so bloody funny.
You’ve got to love a bit of frankie
Boyle is a hoot. Check out the Tramadol Nights spoof of The Green Mile - it's amazing
The Steve Irwin last word scene was funny. Because he was stabbed in the heart by a Stingray barb
LOVE the Yorkshire flag sithi.
Back the Frankie Boyle had the same inner monologue as me, none at all.
Saw him live few times and he is not censored, its our Glasgow sense of humour. Very clever man
One of the best comedians ever who is loved here in the UK is Reginald D. Hunter. Very funny guy.
He's either brilliant or terrible. There's never any middle ground.
Glad you enjoy our sense of humour ❤
Like the Leeds Stuff in background
Make these longer fucking hilarious 🤣😂😆
I read Frankie's biography ,my family were brought up in the Shaw's Glasgow
Great channel
Dude I love your content, I'm newbie to all this myself but can I just say massive respect to the RNLI flag you have there. My dad and my brother both serve in the RNLI. My dad was also in the fawklands and a seamen in the indefatigable, part of the old boys association. Big probs to you for that. My dad also has a signed contract from King neptune giving him permission to cross any ocean safely
The "woke" complainers have not paid attention to Frankie. He's not really changed his views.
Yeah Frankie is actually an anarchist, literally as left wing as it gets which is ironic because it was the "woke" liberals who cancelled him, yet the man is more left wing than they are in real life, he's a massive advocate for free speech and believes everyone regardless of political opinion should have a voice.
Most of these "woke" groups aren't even left wing most hold supremacist ideologic views, believing most other political views should be banned (even left wing views) and only their weird version of "left wing" politics should be taught and enforced on society, which is also ironic as they claim the people they "protest" against are enforcing their views onto them and others.... A Cycle of Hypocrisy.
As an Anarchist myself I don't give a f**k what you think as long as you leave me alone 😂
@@norfolkenchants1238 He blocked me on instagram because he disagreed with a point I put forward. He's just as much of a piss baby as the people who cancelled him. Still funny tho.
@@charliedell4994 that's pretty disappointing, I don't understand people who use Instagram or twitter but can't face criticism, I mean what do they expect?. The reason I love frankie has nothing to do with his political views, I just think the same as yourself that he's Fucking Hilarious.
@@charliedell4994 you're not owed attention. stop being a crybaby.
@@chunglu Never said he owed me anything. Just think it's funny how someone as offensive as he is struggles to cope with disagreements online. Kindly don't bother replying.
Just noticed you laugh like Frankie does lol
You may want to look at the Too hot for TV portions of mock the week on youtube, especially with Frankie Boyle. He makes a hilarious joke with the B.A.R.B. picture.
Sort the background shite on your walls 😂
Please please do listen to the Macc Lads. You would absolutely love them. 😂😂. If not I will send you some from UK
Frankie Boyle is especially popular among cricket fans
I love the city of Norwich. Norfolk is beautiful.
You need to see Chris Kamara's best bits. Not a comedian but the best football commentator. Elite level hilarious.
Big up the white rose in the background and the Liverpool flag knew I liked you
You need to see "Mock the Week - Between the Lines Compilation"
You should look up tramadol nights which was a frankie boyle show with stand up and sketches
One could argue this isn’t fair use, but I love the American’s response. Lol
On season 2 not being funny:
Many jokes will be difficult to understand as they were based on current events at that time period, and even more so if you’re not from the UK to remember the news etc.
Great watching these old clips back though, takes me back. Good job 👍🏼
Gurkha Brotherhood. I had a Gurkha knife many years ago.
😍 only one Boyle...
As someone from Glasgow, like Frankie, those jokes are a matter of every day for us. We normally drop a joke like that every hour or one a day for the more quiet. We are brutal. We just don’t care.
Brace yourself agnes 😂
They apparently cut a huge amount of Frankie before the shows aired. I remeber thinking some of the edits were odd in some of the seasons when they first aired in the UK. But i think it's safe to assume Frankie said far worse that may be lost to us alas.
Not sure if it was released later on DVD or other ways.
He definitely mentioned in Season 2 how hard it was to get into the edit, and when one of the team warned him that one of his comments made him sound like a paedophile, he simply replied “i don’t mind, it’s not like anyone’s gonna hear the joke”. I think by season 3 the producers were starting to see him as the favourite, and gave him more limelight.
Ive made the joke about the people of Arkansas getting to use their webbed feet and hands as they may get some coastline when sea levels rise.
Yup, here's Frankie being funny, "Woke" and political back in 2006 when most people had just discovered him, through this show. Remember though, as 90% of commenters will tell you: "He stopped being funny when he went "Woke" and political over the last couple of years". Having been a fan of Mr Boyle since he was doing the small club circuit in the 90s, I wonder what exactly these people thought they were hearing.
Election autopsy closing monologues. Frankie Boyle.
Look at his Richard Hammond joke
Aww cmon man lol
It's weird how many comedians have an Irish connection
Both of Frankie's parents were Irish speakers from Donegal.
And it doesn't stop there
Both of George Carlin's parents were Irish, Bill Burr has an Irish Background, Billy Connolly had a grandfather from Galway,
Craig Ferguson had a mother from Donegal, both of Jimmy Carr's parents were Irish, Sean Lock's mother was Irish.
Even Louis CKs mother was of Irish descent.
And that's not even getting into the number of Irish comedians.
Must be something in the water...
