I feel like you should have given Doomguy Medical skills, this man is able to figure out how to fix himself up in matter of milliseconds with medkits he finds in battlefield
I personally think you should take over the base wall and vent each room and change each large room into useful stuff like storage, crafting, cooking , sleeping area, medical room and prison cell
Problem is, the game tracks your wealth and the time passed. If he did take over that base and settle there, all the new items and furniture would raise his total wealth, and he's not ready for big raids.
@@BalthazarB2it's kinda of a yes and no answer he could get a huge raid if he moves in BUT since it's on the hardest difficulty he could also get a giant raid tomorrow it's the luck of the draw at the end of the day and the less time he spends building the more time he'd have to research building higher tier gear and getting a larger stock pile, "moving in would create a higher risk but its also a higher reward". Jason Wolfy Yeah also thing is with rimworld, the start up is the slowest and arguably most boring part, not at all saying it’s boring but in comparison
I’m actually a really big fan of your editing, I like how you don’t necessarily show everything going on in the game but still just enough to understand what’s happening. I also appreciate you correcting yourself through text. I also enjoy the fact you made the doom guy a lot more believable (stat wise). I love the videos and can’t wait for more.
You are underestimating slave labor. When you can recruit someone, have them fight all nearby animals until they die. Free food and animal hide, and posible medical experience for doomguy if you heal them between fights.
Is this community si sadistic? Like you talk a person to join your cool colony to survive together and when hes ready you just tell him to essentially die?
I do something similar, except I keep my prisoners in the shittiwst conditions imaginable and I harvest a lung to reduce their overall stats, then give them peg legs and arms, if I have nothing else going on for my docotr, I just attach and detach their limbs for some free medical skill, and if they riot, then I just beat the shit out of them for more melee and medical =) if anyone does die you can always make some hats
You can tell if a settlement is tribal or technological based on the icon. The Tent means it's Tribal and will likely have bows, spears, etc. The House means that it's technological, like you, and will have better gear.

Just leaving these here for anyone playing rimworld, tips : 1. Slave Labor is way to go, you can either harvest their organs and sell them for heaps of silvers or use them as a fodder by making them kill every animal in your map until they serve their purpose 2. considering the climate in the tribe base i think this is bad in the long run, if its 48 degrees on normal climate imagine if one heatstroke happen. not only that, the desert that the tribe living in blocks quite a variety of animal so yep.. no go on the base long term. 3. If you want a good source of power , consider searching for river bases since the water generator is a good power generator 4. farming is the way to go for food, consider a 9x9 plant this is specific, for the long run you can add a sun lamp in the middle to use the farm day and night effectively and have heaps amount of foods 5. mufallo is s good animal for taming, since they can produce milk, furs and help you carry big amounts on travelling 6. consider having a sterile kitchen since a dirty kitchen will cause food poisoning which will be very annoying while base building Other than that, that's it.. Like this so trm can see!
TRM, since doomguy is excellent at ripping apart his opponents in game, you should begin an organ harvesting business, so you have a good income flow and don't have to worry about feeding prisoners.
@@yasaitheshobji No it isn't. The person you're thinking of would never use such offensive terms as organ harvesting ring. He engages in "Non-consensual organ arbitrage."
It's interesting to see how engaged the audience you have is. It may not be a ridiculous amount of fans upfront, but you really have something going here
you should take it over, in your pan over of the map there were 3 decent sized fertile dirt zones fairly close to the base, and ripping up all of the wooden floors between buildings would supply your wood stocks for a bit and make the new base less flammable. really dig this new series btw.
20:24 you skipped over it but Hornet's very neurotic trait stacks with his industrious trait for 35+40=75% work speed bonus. In additional to fast learner, those are extremely good worker traits. Fast learner means he'll learn at 2/3's the rate of someone with basic passion so he can really do anything. He's got good combat stats too what an amazing guy I love him.
My vote is definitely for taking over the base you raided. All those sleeping rooms can be used for other purposes, while the extra beds and bed rolls can be sold to visiting merchants for decent cash.
This is an absurd idea, but you could try to ping pong nomad style from enemy base to enemy base, more 'levels' if you will for doomguy to rip and tear
You earned that settlement, just take it and live there. It’s not like it’s going to make the game incredibly easy or anything, you’re still going to struggle.
The difficulty depends on your wealth, in that base there is too much wealth for just 3 persons to move in to, when you establish base here you can expect at least 7-10 ppl raiding you
"Quick Tip" Depending on your starting tech level you can use stonecutter's table to level up crafting as well as creating stone blocks for building materials
Build walls around the edges of each room so its honeycombed and build AC where needed with vents in between . turn all the sleeping spot rooms into bigger rooms for storage and crafting and split the other rooms for sleeping quarters/ jail/ hospital. you could do it with like 200 wood. though honestly, id recommend replacing with stone.
Taking over the base will raise your wealth quite a bit, and with no armor or a killbox that will probably end poorly for everyone but DoomGuy... And then DoomGuy.
I think it's a good idea to make this settlement like a prison or something similar, where you can capture enemies and either emprison them forever or convert them to your own faction of they have useful traits.
Remember that raid strength is dependent on your colony's "wealth," so if you move into the colony as your new base, you'll be instantly gaining a lot of "wealth," which will make raids a lot stronger. Up to you if you see that as a positive or a negative! You'd basically be getting much tougher raids because you kept a lot of chairs and tables, doesn't seem that worth it to me. I'd personally grab everything I wanted and deconstruct everything else for wood and other materials. Either that, or you could take over this base and quickly deconstruct a few buildings and sell off much of the furniture to your new neutral neighbors; it is nice that there are already a few passive coolers built here.
hold the base for yourself, and lay down some sandbags, just so you can have some cover for other units while doomguy run and gun, make sure to have a walled perimeter, and an Sandbag Perimeter, you should be able to make small pillboxes too and put machineguns over there. Also, this might help on future attacks, put rocks around your base cuz this makes dificult for enemies to get close while your guys are shooting them, on the other hand, this gives the enemy slight cover
Doom Guy brings back random agave from his expeditions. Along with the food you pack for the trip. They will do a little foraging as they go along their trip. @@sambishara9300haha was referring to the average person when making a globe trip. Not Doom Guy. Hes an exception but you'd be surprised. You get a pack of really fast animals. Who knows.
