Pacquiao is a genuine GOAT who fought anybody and everybody, and was always the smaller guy to do it. It’s easier to dominate a weight class if your naturally bigger, but in Pac’s case, it’s reversed.
For Pac to accomplish what he has in his legendary 26yr career (only 8 Div Champ; only 5 Div Lineal Champ; only 4x Welterweight Champ - who is naturally a Featherweight); having rematches and trilogies with other legends (Barerra, Morales) fighting Marquez 4x and getting brutally KO’d cold, getting robbed multiple times (Bradley, Horn) and then….fighting his way back and defeating a new generation of welterweights, including Keith Thurman to become the oldest welterweight world champion in history…mad respect.
And now he agrees to take on a young, skilled, high risk/low reward fighter who has nothing to lose such as Ugas after a 2 year layoff at age 42 with less than 10 days to make adjustments…
Win lose or draw, Pacquiao is going down as a Top 3 Pound-for-Pound GOAT.
This is a guy who grew up dirt poor, in a village with no shoes, no house, no father, no formal boxing training, heavily malnourished…and only started boxing as a teenager to help put food on the table.
Greatness is defined not only by your accomplishments, but what you had to overcome to get there, including how you handle failure or defeat, and the longevity, heart and resilience to keep on going.
After Pac retires, even the haters will miss him. Mad respect to the Great Manny Pacquiao.

What makes pacquiao the people’s champ is he cares about the people. He doesn’t care about his legacy, he cares about what people wants. He gives them the fights they want regardless if it’s disadvantage to him. That’s the biggest difference between him and mayweather. Mayweather chooses the fights where he has the advantages instead of giving the people the fight they want. And manny is probably the most humble boxer ever. Every time he wins, he thanks God and you won’t hear him brag, instead he gives props to his opponents even if they were disrespecting him. Truly the PEOPLE’S CHAMP AND GOD BLESS YOU MANNY
