This song remains just one of the late true musical and lyrical genius of this band, Steven Maynard "The Riffmaster" Clark's greatest legacies. This song MUST be played with a Firebird, Steve loved them as he put it verbatim "they have that dirty heavy sound". Vivian remains an icon but Steve was special, his loss incalculable, a true rock star who oozed cool, and played such a unique way, constantly adjusting his LP's/Gibsons. I know people will be critical but I do not GAF. I never got to see Steve, I envy, truly envy those that did. He had it all, and as Viv noted "90% of what we play Steve left us". Yes a verbatim quote. Leppard's lack of mainstream/musical real success post their genius's passing is evidence of how epically great Steve was and remains. At the end ride out solo you can clearly see [great video shot] that Viv bleeds Steve through his artistry, it's just not the same but. Still, Vivian has always given it 110%. And his deep respect for Steve has been consistent since he joined. I reckon "Steamin" would've liked Viv as Phil's co guitar.
He really figured it out. There was a point he was struggling badly. I think it was because he was trying to scream the higher parts as when he was a kid. Now he just goes into falsetto to do it and it sounds great. At least to me. There’s noting worse than trying to do something that isn’t there and missing. I think that what gives a lot of these guys that are older greatness is they find a way that’s sustainable. I saw them multiple times on Hysteria and it was great but I’d be equally as excited to see them today. They pay amazing attention to detail and always deliver.
Yes. He is surviving cancer and is doing a damn good job of it. He looks better now in 2023 than he did as a young man. With the shorter hair you can see his smile and the twinkle in his eyes.

One of my all time favorite Def Leppard songs! I wish they would play it more often in their concerts!
Who ever says Joe’s voice is gone, get your hearing checked! Sounds bloody fantastic!
Yes he’s still got it! They put on the best concerts!
They are just jealous.

Ahh they are missing the "woahs" during the bridge. It's on the album and makes it sound way better
My ears! Sound needs a remaster!
That is Vivian Campbell??
MMarcos1984 indeed
