After my first (and only) prison sentence I received 4 years for street robbery that I never actually did. But that said, I got away with a lot of what I'd previously done. Anyway it gave me time to reflect and get away from the bad eggs around me (who coincidentally didn't visit me) "friends" 😂 🤣 yea so after my time I moved away from where I'd grown up and never looked back except to reflect on how well I turned it all around.

Well done to the public and the police involved in these arrests. It's about bloody time security guards were better able to protect themselves, what is the point of security if they can't defend themselves or the premises?. Licensing some security staff to carry pepper spray wouldn't go amiss, and more dog patrols at night too, with security dogs allowed to bite intruders in a similar manner to police dogs. Those things would be a start at least. It's about time we started telling people if you do things like this, you are going to get physically hurt. Nobody wants to be pepper sprayed or bitten by a dog. Also it's about time they invented pepper spray that also stains the skin and clothing for several days, allowing police more time to identify you and link you to the scene.

Coming from South Africa, two things strike me on this video. 1. Cash in transit theft - rare in the uk, common daily events in SA. 2. To me, a moped is one of those old hybrid bicycle motorbikes with pedals and these are scooters. I’ve been in the UK for 12 years and still can’t get used to calling a scooter a moped. Either way, this kind of crime does not make me homesick at all! 😄

    • @FisherAthleticFan

Cash in transit is rare because the security has increased, the last time it was rift was around 2005 latest, after that had dye packs, trackers and more etc

It’s not hard to open the controls panel on an electric gate or any electrical security system that is sometimes used by the public, it’s a feature that is mandatory for the event of a fire or something similar!, it’s a case of opening the box and manually overriding the locking system. I got stuck in a multi storey car park and I almost got a taxi home and I googled the brand and got the information of how to do it. I was even thinking about putting a sign up for me to charge people that got into the same situation, I was just going to dress like a tradesman and take a fair bit more time and charge them a call out fee. It’s not like it’s a bad crime and it’s providing a service to people who would be relieved and grateful for their only option for freedom without a wait until the place opened up in the morning?. Everyone is happy

Jail time is great and all that but criminals should also face RESTITUTION in addition to jail time , like convescation orders of belongings cars , property , homes even if the crime is big enough to then be sold to pay for the carnage and damage caused . If criminals realize that they could lose their possesions as well as do time , I personally think it would act as a detterent more than just jail time alone ...PLUS they should be barred from having council housing for LIFE if the crime is serious or warrants jail time above say 3 years under sentencing guidelines these people rob steal stab and deal drugs then go back to council housing paid for by the taxpayer whilst decent families sit on ever longer waiting lists (espescially so in London ) .Criminals ACCEPT jail time as a cost of doing what they do ...I guarantee restitution costs by confiscation orders would hurt them a LOT MORE than being banged up .

How was the car park entry secured ?? Locks or keypad entry ?? Keypad entry tend to use 4 numbers . If you mark the numbers , wait for someone to punch in the code and go back and inspect the keypad . The smudged numbers are the code . Just try various combinations.

Why do stores leave £100,000 worth of stock on the shop shelves? Maybe leave it in a heavily secured storeroom overnight? An extra 20 minutes of work each day, to stop someone walking off with £20,000 of perfume.

Sadly, these idiots often get nothing more than a slap on the wrist by the courts. To me, that seems like total disrespect to the officers who put their lives on the line to catch these scumbags. It emboldens them to do more and more until something tragic happens. The fines are also not enough and the victim surcharge is a joke. Instead of sending teen offenders to jail, they should be sent to Armenian to serve out their time. Then they will have a better appreciation for their home.

@0.30 that security guard is a big girls blouse. Even in all the protective gear he cowards away. the thief wasn't even armed. If your a security guard carrying that much money at least do some self defence training. He shouldn't be in that job if he's that timid. Ok if the thief had a visible gun or knife it's a different story but he was unarmed.
