theres no point, as a guy I always hated shooting on shorter rims. Shooting on a 10 foot rim just feels perfect and way more fun. The only benefit to shorter rims is more fun dunking but it ruins shooting in my opinion

Do you know why it's lower paid though because there are lower advertising dollars. If you lower the basket and women dunk which makes it more interesting which makes it more people watch than they're going to be more advertising dollars which means more money which means players can get paid more theoretically
honestly, it probably has to do with, when they practice, they practice on regulation 10 foot rim. a 9.5 rim would just feel different and be different to practice on and mess u muscle memory.
