I recently upgraded my 3200mhz ddr4 ram from 8 gb to 16gb on my asus tuf a15 ryzen 7 4800H rtx 3050 . And the results were impressive. On pubg pc the fps were 70 in very high settings and now the fps after upgrade are 80-100 in ultra settings.

Sasta me bhi hoga aur koi issue bhi nhi hoga as wo safe hota hai aur laptop kharab hoga to bhi koi warrenty la issue nhi
i used to get 30-40 fps in god of war and the gameplay was laggy but after upgrading my laptop to 16 gigs , i am able to get 55 to 60 fps constant and the gameplay is also very smooth . 16GB is a must have in my opinion

I am amazed why companies still keep providing only 8 GB RAM on "GAMING LAPTOPS". Utna cost bhi nai add hota just to add another 8 GB stick. (max. 4K rupees), normal business/work laptop mein 8 GB is enough. But it's a crime to sell a laptop with 8 GB RAM and label it as gaming.

8 gb is still enough for gaming , but it should be in dual channel , ie 2 sticks of 4gb.
but manufactures gives only 1 8gb stick thats the problem , and in many laptops , even 16gb version it might be just 1 stick of 16gb instead of 2 8gb sticks . so 1 stick of 16 gb ram is also worse like the 8gb variant shown today .

Bro in the ryzen 9 7950x video you installed a sata SSD which has 550MB/S Sequential speed if you have such a high performance cpu and ram it will surely bottleneck a bit,you should have gone with a m.2 gen 4 SSD which will help in boot time and loading times of the game and will surely increase the performance as 'RGB' doesn't give performance boost

8GB RAM is way too less nowdays as even Windows hogs up 3-4 GB RAM for its functions. The remaining 3-4 GB is insufficient to run games. 16GB is way to go.

I have still 8gb 3200mhz ddr4 ram in my hp pavilion ( ryzen 5 5600h +GTX 1650 gddr6).
I only play valorant ( getting 200+ fps) and do coding.
It is serving good that's why I didn't upgraded yet.
But i will upgrade soon for video editing purposes.
Review bhi kar deta hu: 1 saal baad bhi mast chal raha hai , battery backup dropped from 4hrs. to 2 hrs. Bcoz i play valo 6 hrs. a day and laptop kept plugged in whole day.
CPU paste aslo dried and cpu temp. Goes 100 °c and do thermal throttling. GPU remains under 70°c always.
edit: The title is kind of misleading because it is not a fair comparison ,
because 8 gb is in single channel where as 16 is in dual channel.
if 16 gb was in single channel it will perform like the 8gb single channel variant .
Is the 8gb variant dual or single channel
Because 4gb * 2 and 8gb * 2
Would give about same performance in most games.
And 4gb * 2 will give more fps than 16gb * 1.

I have 32 G dual channel saw a great boost in perfomance of nitro 5. Also GTA5 has also a benchmark that you can run it displays fps as well its in settings.

Actually less ram doesn't quite bottleneck the gpu but the problem is that slower ram renders area slower and the gpu doesn't need to use more of its power

I have recently purchased acer nitro 5 16 gb version the one that you have reviewed but i am having some performances issues when i tried to play games the cpu usage % drops to 20 % in all games in any kind graphics settings like ultra and same happens to gpu tgp which drops to 50w why is this happening and how do i solve this underperformance issue i know this laptop is capable of providing hightend performance on ultra graphics settings but fps drops to 15 -25 fps because of low cpu% usage plz help

Bhai mera legion 5i intel i5 10th gen , gtx 1650 4gb , 8gb ram 2020 model , cpu undercloked based on your your undercloking video, giving 80 to 90 fps in forza horizon 5 all high settings so it is giving 11 or 12 gen cup and rtx graphics vala performance just because of lenovo's optimization in legion is far better then other gaming laptop now getting this higher spec's performance from lower spec's laptop i have understand the power of legion.

Mai abhi bhi ddr4 par 8 GB ram use kar rha hu bcoz casual gaming mei jyada difference nhi padta, only eSports mei fark padta hai toh plss guys sirf casual gaming ke liye apne ghar walo ka dimag mat khao 8gb is good enough for casual gamers 16gb and more is only recommended for eSports and competitive gamers. But haa same number of ram but single channel and dual channel mei bohot difference hai
