Thanks man!! I got to start doing some more modifications to this truck again soon!! It needs an exhaust pretty bad just to help divert the fumes from going into the cab when I have the top off ahhaha
bro, that would be crazy, I was super excited to do it, but I made sure I waited until the cake came in before I made my first cut lol most you can do is put the tape down and start making measurements but I wouldn't cut until I had it lolololol
@randolphsanborne4957 I love to hear! The only downside I've had with this project is just the fumes. I still have to just run a longer exhaust that goes out of the back of the truck hopefully prevent how fumet the cab gets. Other than that, I drove it a lot this spring, I would just daily it with no roof if I could breathe in it hahaha
oh man, I'm sure there's a way too, the windshield bow should be relatively the same in the back half of the cab should be pretty similar, you just need to find a way to mount some sort of seal for the middle pillars, and he would always need a buddy to help take it off. Lol, I appreciate your support bro!
possibly, I'm not too sure what it would entail. I don't know if there's an exact kit for it, the windshield bows would be the same, but you'd have to get pretty custom when you get towards the back, and the roof you would always need a second person to takeoff. I'm sure it would be a lot heavier, especially with the back windows of the extending cab, if you ever do it though let me know I think it would be sick!!
unfortunately, I actually just swap back to the stock seatbelts today because in my state they're super strict on eating a shoulder belt so I had to custom fit the old seatbelts back in, it won't be shown until part three sadly, because I think especially in part two I install new lap boats lol but just have it goes I guess, do you need new seatbelts?
If you leave the door section on the body wouldnt that make it impossible to shut the door with the window rolled all the way up when the hardtop is on?
sorry, this will get better explained in part two for sure! Basically, when you mount that little piece, and when you mount the door to the hardtop, you basically cut out with a cut off wheel the outer side of the gasket with the metal. That way you can roll up your window and close the door!
Okay I saw one of your videos converting your 4x4 suspension. I own a 86 hardbody 2 wheel rear wheel drive XE long bed with original 83k miles in it. One owner. I need a 4x4. Is it possible to convert this 2x to 4x 4 cylinder?
do you want to convert your re-wheel drive to a four-wheel-drive!? Unfortunately, you would have to get a four-wheel-drive frame and especially with a long bed that is tricky. I don't think I've ever seen a long bed single cab hardbody as a 4 x 4, they made the extended cabs in the regular cabs with short beds, 4 x 4 and rear wheel drive. But you would need all of the stuff to carry the front differential or maybe you could do some sort of solid axle swap with the real wheel drive frame you have now!? you probably just need some sort of driveshaft and the 4 x 4 transmission!?
I hear you man! I think they only make the kit for the older Rangers, but I really appreciate it! I'm excited to really cruise it in some warm weather!
I don't think this is a project I want to do again for a little while😅😂 I just split my middle finger open to the bone today. Drilling holes to keep my 3 point seat belt for video part 3😅😂
I like it. I have been thinking about cutting my roof off before I bag it.
that would be sick!!
Thats dope shiet bro! 💪🏽
thank you man!!
Man great job… I did a full size 1500
damn, was it cut so the roof could go back on or did you go full-time roadster with it?!
This pleases me.

Imagine cutting the roof off in preparation for the convertible kit and then getting an email that they are no longer in production

@@JapaneseMinitruck yea that would suck. I can see it now....Next video is "How to weld a cab back on and make it look factory!" lol
@Mcisenegger 😂😂😂
I have the kit on my b2200 just finishing the roof

Love this…. I have an extended cab 1997 hardbody I would love to do this …. Can it be done with an extended cab???

Will do Thankyou for the advice
Hey bro !!! Looks great. What you want for those seatbelts?
