  • The monumental Bruckner 7 performed on the 26th September 2021, during the closing of the George Enescu Festival, by the Royal Concertgebouworkest and maestro Daniel Harding.
    Movements:
    1. Allegro moderato (00:41)
    2. Adagio: Sehr feierlich und sehr langsam (21:54)
    3. Scherzo: Sehr schnell - Trio: Etwas langsamer (44:08)
    4. Finale: Bewegt, doch nicht schnell (53:54)

    What a drab performance - one of the top Bruckner orchestras in the world as well. Harding is a complete "nobody" conductor - OK, so the Concertgebouw, the Vienna, the Berlin et al work with him but doesn't that just say it all for the way standards have plummeted.

    Pretty sure this orchestra would have sound the same if not better with no conductor.
