  • Researchers of Eindhoven University of Technology mapped the acoustics of three ancient Greek theaters in detail, for the first time. They found the acoustic quality is not as mythical as travel guides claim. Read more in this article in The Guardian: www.theguardia...

All these theatres have very good acoustics only when full of people... the measurements were taken in empty theatres. Repeat the exercise with a full house (and have another good holiday in Greece). If you need an official licensed tour guide to show you around send me a message... I 'll be happy to help you for a modest fee... :-)

very well-argued. Indeed, a full house will decrease the reverberation time measured because of the sound absorption of the people which improves intelligibility.

To be fair good acoustics in a time before acoustics was a word is impressive. I think the amazing part is its understanding so early in human history it feels as though we are connected in a that that we still use today.

And results so vague, "not as good as travel guides said?" This is a bit of a joke, are you actually a university??

What's so funny? Someone misspelled, so what?? Especially when is not a native speaker. Give me a break, you just wanted to insult someone because-for some reason- you didn't like what he said

well I've been there and thought they were amazing. My girlfriend at that time spoke from the centre circle, even whispered, and I could hear her clear as a bell. The other video to check is this, shows it clearly... ruclips.net/video/PswU6wjhPnk/видео.html

Jealous salty and edgy barbarians saying shit about a thousands of years old theater that has better acoustics than their own shitty theatre rooms made with modern technology and engineering methods lol

Not as mythical as the travel guides claim?? Well correct me if I'm wrong, but a commercial always exaggerates on what they "sell"...
