18:50 using the hover function helps with landings but you gotta be below 100 feet as the sink rate on it is very low. If you don't wanna use the hover function you need to blip the throttle down to like 40% and then spike it up to 60% and repeat until you're on the deck.

Aerial rockets are one of those funny weapons. Everyone thought they were going to be the big thing, that guns were over, guided missiles weren't here yet, and this was the day of rockets. You get things like the F-94 Starfire being completely built around rocket armament. Turned out those assumptions were in error.
Then there's in-game rockets. Computers, no computers, big-ass rockets, swarms of little rockets, so on and so forth, and the Japanese UH-1B. Can it actually hit anything?
Day 89, probably: Take the Scimitar, the last Supermarine, out for a spin. It's got rockets too, it's got the British AP rockets that may or may not do anything.
I've just been doing so badly in Warthunder lately that i think i'll never be able to get to these vehicles. Doesn't help when my team also sucks just as hard as me.
For instance, started a game with a sherman, got to a point, capped it, got killed by a KV-85, spawned in a P-47, didn't kill anything with my 500 bomb, shot some guys a bit, absolutely no kills... yet came 3rd in the match.

If you're playing war thunder for these top tier vehicles, it's best to just stop entirely. Honestly better off going to a game like DCS or Tiny Combat Sim (if that's the name) for the modern stuff. Gaijin is extremely predatory and isn't really worth supporting

@@covenantslayergaming6362 I disagree I’ve been playing for better part of 6 years and now I’m just now reaching top tier but I have to say I don’t regret anything. Nothing like playing sim with an f4 without having to break out the joysticks to play dcs. I think Air RB enduring confrontation would complete me in this game.

@@Tabaskospecial I've all but the a-7e, a-10a, and the b26 in the American air tree. I love the game and strongly dislike the management. I'd love to see War Thunder become great, but the management is holding it down with it's terrible decisions. It's easier to get into than DCS but the flaws become glaring. All I meant is that it's pointless to play war thunder with the sole purpose of getting to top tier. It's not a healthy mentality whatsoever, the game was designed that way. I love having the f-4E/F-4J though, aside from the Russian bias the gameplay loop at top tier is super enjoyable.

Hey Phly, i use the Av-8 a lot in ground RB. My advice is to use the zuni's, with one shot you can kill 1 tank. They are way better than FFAR'S

My A10 only uses rockets lol it’s such a blast to come in an inch above the tree and hit 2 or 3 in the side with volleys of death.

It was the vehicle that got me my phirst nuke, and I’d like to see it and the ABUL/74 (specifically the 90mm) on the channel!
The combo means in any terrain you can get to a sneaky spot, and scout phor tons of SP!

Does Harrier have automatic flares/chafes? From your slowed replay it kinda looks like when you got close to the bridge flares were dispersed and they may have impacted the bridge, either shrapnelling or ricocheting to take you out.
Those high dollar sound effects though.

Love the harrier, such a cool and unique aircraft. Wish it had a radar though, would've made it a little bit better, imo.

@@whiskersthecatboi True, also. I meant both in game and IRL, most harriers (or all to my knowledge) didn't have a built in radar, due to it's role in the british air force. It was supposed to be a ground strike aircraft that could land on carriers aswell as improvised airstrips and landing pads. :)
@@erikk1744 the only harriers that have radar are the Sea Harrier, and late versions of the AV-8B. Even Harrier IIs in British service, and AV-8Bs in American service did not have radar, similar to that of the A-10 due to their ground attack role. However later versions of the AV-8B had a radar, which gave them AMRAAM capability. The Sea Harrier FRS.1 (Falklands War), had a radar, and the Sea Harrier FA2 had the blue vixen radar, which at the time was the most advanced European radar set, this gave the Sea Barrier FA2, amraam capability as well.
